I caught a whiff of Cherrypaw and Dappledpaw in the wind and stood up, before dashing quickly over the rocks and fields, passing little chunks of their fur here and there. The scent swelled in my nose, and my paws grew heavy with exhaust. Finally, when I thought I could run no more, I spotted another cat. An adult she-cat, who seemed to be talking to other cats. There they were. Cherrypaw and Dappledpaw. That she-cat could harm them! I thought as I leaped out of the bushes, landing on Gray heavily.
