White, for Tarvaliers, is very different that in regular horse breeds. White acts like a modifier for red coats and produces what are called "rose" horses, similar to how the agouti genes modifies black coats and produces bay horses. It is also a gene with incomplete dominance. WW horses appear completely white, Ww causes a white body with original base coat coloring in the mane, points, and sometimes face and shoulders, and ww has no affect. White Tarvaliers can have all white to all black mane and tail or a tinted mane and tail like the stallion above. The genetics for this are not yet understood.

White horses can carry white markings, but will not display them. Non-white markings will display over the coat like any other base coat color. "Dominant White" is not a term that exists for Tarvaliers. Lethal white is also impossible. If two white horses are breed, their foals will have white base coats, along with any markings they may have.

I'll post a rose Tarvalier eventually lol. They look a bit like red roans, if they were extremely roan XD
