"I'm trying!" she screeched as she bit a coyote's neck, though it didn't sink well enough to kill it. She saw what seemed like at least ten cohorts near the nursery. Autumnkit whimpered, crouching in a corner. Sunstripe raced to stand in front of Autumnkit, willing to die for her.

[Wolf Howls]

The leader signaled his pack members to go some other place. It was him now. "Hand over the kits and no cats get hurt." he demanded.

"Mouse brained coyote! You could never hurt Hollystar's Clan!" Snowkit shouted as she crawled out from the moss.

[Wolf Howls]

The leader smirked. "Lets see if I can do something here then, little kit." he said. He bent down to her. "I know." he whispered. The coyote took his massive jaws and picked up the kit. He carried her into the clearing. "We got one!" he howled, Snowkit's fur making his voice blurry.

"No!!" Snowkit wailed. She struggled and flung her paws, but it was no use.

Redfeather stopped fighting when she saw one of the coyotes walking out of the nursery. He had something white in his mouth that was squirming and squeeling but she couldn't hear what it was saying. All Redfeather knew was that it was a kit and she would fight to the death if she had to for any kit. Even if she never met it. "SNOWKIT!" Redfeather gasped when she saw the kit. She sprinted after the coyote and raked it's back as hard as she could with her claws. When she pulled away there was a huge gash where she had scratched. She climed up the coyote's back, making sure to step on the gash and sunk her teeth into its neck. Redfeather knew she wouldn't be able to kill it but she wanted to make sure it left with nasty wounds.

"Redfeather!" Snowkit squealed. "Get me out of here!"

Hearing Snowkit's call, Redfeather jumped off the coyote's back and ran up in front of it. "You drop her this instant!" She yelled before clawing it's mouth without stopping.

[Wolf Howls]

The leader looked at his shoulder and then at Redfeather. "No." he mumbled in a dark tone. The pack of coyotes at the apprentices den broke the vines. "Another snack!" one of them yelled.

Redfeather burst into tears as she clawed and clawed at the coyote. How will we ever rid of these monsters. They will just fight us effortlessly until we tire out and then they will eat us. Oh how I wish we had more warriors. Or I wish that these coyotes were weak and easy to beat. she thought hopelessly.
