I nodded slowly, purring. I know she will. And remember, she has nine lives. Sickness is bound to take one of them eventually. She's strong; she'll fight it, the young gold tom stopped and sniffed the air, picking up the scents of different cats from all over.

He nodded softly, smiling. "I guess you're right," He said, then opened his mouth. Scenting the faint but not stale scent of mouse, he slowly crept to its hole.

I should let Crowstar rest. The cream tabby turns around and pads to her den. Looking at the store, she decides that they'll need a good batch of coltsfoot.

I sighed and turned to face the clan. I suppose I could be of no more help. I'll leave you out here to enjoy yourself and have some thinking time away from the dampness and humidity of sickness. I mewed, purring one last time before I bounded off into camp to see if I could help anyone else.

I growled playfully when I spotted Dawnpaw and leaped playfully over to her, twitching my tail in boredom. Hello, I mewed most maturely, licking a paw and swiping it over my ear to get the last bit of flying hairs down.

ｆａｒ ｔｏｏ ｙｏｕｎｇ ｔｏ ｄｉｅ

I quickly checked to make sure there were no other cats around, before quickly bounding over to Leafdapple and pressing against her front left leg, quivering slightly as I watched with wide eyes. I was always quivering, it was just natural for me. Being two times smaller than the average apprentice, I looked more like a runt kit rather than a strong, nine moon old apprentice.

Leafdapple smiles at the apprentice and gently licks his ears. "How is today so far dear?" Because of Mintpaw, Leafdapple always has fresh juniper berries. Due to that, they never run out of the berries.

He nodded softly, and pounced on the mouse, whom was quivering. He wasn't in the killing mood, and felt bad for all living things. He let the mouse go and hung his head.

I shuffled my paws and pressed up closer to Leafdapple, looking up at the she-cat with huge eyes. I'm okay today, he mewed almost inaudibly, his fur beginning to flatten.

She puts a comforting tail around him. "That's good to hear. Do you want your daily juniper berry?"

I shrugged slightly. I used to hate juniper berries, but now I sort of appreciated them. Leafdapple gave them to me when I was stressed, plus once a day to keep my anxiety from going overboard. The warmth of her tail around my small body comforted me as I closed my eyes and leaned against the sweet, herb smelling she-cat. She was better than any mother I'd ever seen, although, all the mothers i'd seen were hostile.
