Beams of sun peeked through the cracks of brambles. The roomy, warm nursery cradled the bundle of silky ashen fur, earning a few mewls of annoyance as the rays embraced her face. Mistkit frowned and squirmed around in her nest, tucking her thick plumy tail between her stubby hindquarters."Well, since the sun won't let me sleep," She giggled, "Might as well explore!" Mistkit squeaked in delight before hopping out of the milky nursery. She shivered as her fur bristled, met by a cold splash of leaf-bare's chill. On light, prancing footing, she danced her way towards the border of the camp. She poked her muzzle into ruffled petals of blue and white flowers, followed by a sneeze when the pollen dusted her bright pink nose.

Stormheart twitches her ears faintly at the approval before following the leader out at the becon. "Hm..? Oh. The last i saw, Battuff was trying to put together a boarder patrol while Wolfrunner was in the meeting with the rest of us..." She mews back, a hint of worry creeping up her spine. If only the two of them had gone out, that could lead to trouble... "Should i go out in search of them...?" she then offers with a quick glance at Bearstar.

Featherpaw sighs, turning to lick at her long fluffy tail. She had only managed a few licks when she finally spots her mentor. "Oakfire!" she mews, instantly jumping to her paws. In a rush, she bounds over towards the older cat to see if they were to be doing anything about the badger.

Bearstar glanced up. He thought he saw something small and fluffy and slightly Mistkit like leave the camp, but decided he was just being paranoid. "Uh, if you could, Stormheart." He flicked the she-cat away, though Littlepaw and Battuft being lost wasn't exactly his main priority. He saw Wolfrunner looking for the cats he was taking, and decided to make the new deputy's job a whole lot easier. There was no time for formalities, he needed the cats under the leader's rock as soon as possible. "Cats, please! Gather round. I have news. We need to carry out these tasks before the sun goes down." He looked to the sky. Early afternoon. Good, they had a while before the sun went down.

Littlepaw stepped back slowly, trying not to attract the badgers attention. "Be careful!" She whispered to her mentor, a few tears streaming down her face. She turned and pelted into the woods, her vision blurred. She wasn't sure if she was going the right way. "Got to get to camp!" She whimpered, but tripped on a branch and fell flat on her face.

Mothtail had finally spotted her apprentice. "Hawkpaw!? Come here, young 'un. We need to hear what Bearstar has to say." She beckoned him over.

"Right," Stormheart mews back before darting away. She wasnt the fastest cat in the clan, but nor was she slow. So, upon exiting the camp, she hears Bearstars mew speak up as he started another meeting, yet figured it was for patrols. The word had probably spread that the badger would be getting huntered anyways.
So, slowing her pace slightly, the raven furred she-cat sniffs the air. Yup. That was definitely Battuff and Littlepaw. Following the scent, she allows her paws to lead her to where the scent was heading. However, a new scent started to prick at her senses. Sharper and more...sour. "What were those two mousebrains thinking!" She mews to herself, forcing her paws to move faster. She couldnt scent any blood which was good though. Yet, a familiar figure darting towards her causes Stormheart to cease running, digging her claws into the earth to slow herself. "Littlepaw!"

At Bearstars call, Featherpaw lifted her head from her cleaning. Another one...? Oh! The patrols! Now rather excited, the long furred silver tabby jumps to her paws, darting forward to take a spot near the jutting rock.

Redwillow didnt bother moving this time, but she could still hear what Bearstar was saying. The she-cat just wasnt into it right now...

Darkpaw grumbles from his place inside the Medicine Cats den. While Aspenglow was busy with the meeting thing, he was stuck sorting through some...what was this stuff again? Oh right. Coltsfoot. With a faint huff, he flicks away a rotten leaf with a claw, before moving the pile back to its place save for the rotten stuff. Those he would need to dispose of later.
The black tom twitches his hears as Bearstars call echoes through the cave. "Oh what now?" He grumbles to himself, getting to his paws.
He had no interest in this badger hunt, knowing he would be unable to participate. He can mend wounds once the battle was done, but would certainly not be able to join his fellow apprentices in the frey. No. He was a medicine cat apprentice now...Yet, he made his way out of the den, sitting just outside the entrance with his dark eyes locked on Bearstar, tail wrapped around his paws though his tail-tip was twitching slightly in frustration.

History:
Redpaw was originally a kittypet, belonging to a Bengal breeder. He and his siblings were half Bengal, and half feral cat, as their mother had gotten outside one night while she was in heat and mated with a ginger rogue named Rufous. When the breeder realized that the kits weren't of pure Bengal blood, he abandoned the whole litter and their mother on the side of a country road one spring morning. Redpaw, known as Garud at the time, (the breeder had a thing for giving his Bengal cats Bengali names), went with his siblings and mother to live on the streets with their father. Times were tough, and Garud and his mother were the only ones to survive the winter. The next spring, his mother told Rufous that she was pregnant and would soon give birth, and her mate vowed to find her a safer place to live. He soon came across HawkClan and brought his mate and son there, where they have resided for the past half-moon, and hope to stay for the rest of their lives. Rufous didn't join the Clan, as he preferred to live on his own.
Personality:
Redpaw is very protective of his mother and others he's close to, and is rather distrustful of strangers. He can be very sarcastic, both a good thing and a bad thing. He's more comfortable around kits and young apprentices than any other cats, possibly due to him losing all of his littermates when they were still very young.

Redpaw is a brown-spotted tabby with medium-length fur and green eyes, all traits he's received from his mother, a purebred Bengal. He also has a dark ginger tail and creamy underbelly, which he's inherited from his father, a feral ginger tabby.

Nope, even if he were a warrior.
Strengths:
Being part Bengal, Redpaw is quite talented at climbing, and is rather intelligent, as well. This makes him a fair hunter, and a good strategist.
Weaknesses:
However, he does not enjoy swimming like his mother does, and although he's good at creating battle strategies, he isn't powerful or skilled enough in fighting to bring them to action.

Ferretstripe looked down at his apprentice and gave him a comforting nudge to his ear "She's with Battuft somewhere I think, Safe and sound if that warriors with her." he assured, He had great faith in the two of them, they were capable she-cats. Even if Littlepaw could be shy. She would learn and grow in time. He jumped up when he heard Bearstar's call and gently nosed his apprentice to his paws "Come on you, we need to go."

Battuft saw the tears on Littlepaw's face, but felt a little comfort in the fact the apprentice seemed to be quick. She just prayed silently that the little ginger she-cat showed some fleet footedness and got her the help of the clan soon. She felt as though a stone was lodged in her throat as she watched the lumbering creature in the foliage only fox-lengths ahead of her. Fear was not an emotion that Battuft could usually be associated with, but she felt the pang in her right leg form her apprentice-hood snake bite and knew that a badger could do much worse than that to her.

Wolfrunner lifted his head to the sound of his leader and left his job to go meet him on high rock.

Nightwatcher sat next to the nursery, but was still close enough to listen.

Scarletpelt sat near some of the apprentices.

Ghostpaw padded up to the high rock.
