nighttail nodded and hurried quickly out. she ran to spiderkit. "you'll be apprenticed tonight!" she said licking his cheek. "well done" she smiled.

spiderkit loked up a huge grin spreading on his face. all his work had paid off. he would become a medicine cat!

thunderclaw smiled at his kits. thinking about how fragile they were. he decided to visit his nieces and nephews so he walked over to fernleaf. he looked at her kits and up at riverclaw. a sence of peace in his eyes. he lowered his head and closed his eyes a moment to show he was not to be a threat. he looked up at riverclaw in a way that asked, may i see them.

Riverclaw smiled, slightly relunctantly but a happy smile non the less, and stepped back slightly to allow Thunderclaw to get closer.

thunderclaw nodded thankfully. he stepped in and looked down at the kits. they were much larger than his. "how many?" he asked riverclaw. "they look strong."

"Two." Riverclaw said proudly. It wasnt that many but they were big. Just as Thunderclaw had said. "Their names are Beekit and Bonekit. She-cat and tom."

"wonderful names." he said looking at the kits. " may i speak with you alone riverclaw." he asked puffing out his chest at the equal sized tom.

Riverclaws eyes turned to stone. This again. Riverclaw padded out of the nursery and flicked his tail for Thunderclaw to follow.

tunderclaw followed. "riverclaw. were grown now. we are older, stronger, more mature." he began. "we have kits now to worry about and protect." he flicked his tail his words like stone. "its time to end this constant battle. it gets us nowhere to hate eachother." he looked straight into riverclaws eyes. "i will offer you one of my kits as a sign of peace between us." his voice was stern and his expression stayed the same.

Riverclaw was shocked. Touched but shocked. "Have you even consulted this with Sparrowwing?" he asked seriously.

"No." he said swallowing a lump in his throat. "she doesnt know of this. i'm sure she would not care of it as long as we are no longer fueding." he thought aloud.

Riverclaw shook his head slowly. "It would only cause more trouble later on. Dont speak a word of this ever again. Especialy not to Sparrowwing." Riverclaw warned with hidden menace in his words.
