Hawkbreeze smiled at Rabbitstar. "Though I haven't seen Owlwhisker, I've found some wonderful hunting spots." The off-white she-cat mewed. Looking behind her leader, she cleared her throat loudly. She stared off for a few seconds, but then focused her eyes on Rabbitstar again. "The sunning rocks have a new family of rabbits in some of the old burrows; wait till sun-high, when the bugs are out, and you're bound to get one or two then."

"Alright! Great to know! By the way, how is your apprentice? Ashpaw, it was?" Rabbitstar purred. "Maybe someday she'll be as good as you!"

Hawkbreeze looked around, eyes widening. She shook her head, off-white neck-fur quivering, reviling another leaf. "I haven't seen her today, actually. Must be out collecting herbs, or simply hidden in the bush." She cleared her thought, looking behind Rabbitstar again. "Perhaps we shouldn't hunt by the steep hill-side on the far border. I heard...My apprentice speaking of a bird of prey over there."

[Silxe]

"A-a bird of prey? Like a falcon? Like a HAWK!? LIKE A EAGLE!?!?" Rabbitstar crouched, with her ears back and fear in her eyes. She had no idea how to deal with one of those, and though they were rare, they were feared by most the clan. Without very hostile opposing clans, and badger hunts strictly for profesional warriors, birds of prey were a young cats biggest threat. "I completely agree, no younger warrior cats or below allowed there for a week. Apprentices will only be allowed out with a warrior, and kits will stay in or extremely close to the nursery." She straightend up. "Or I would say that, despite lack of kits. Never the less, I will announce this later in the day, during assigning the new apprentices mentors."

Ashpaw
Ashpaw trotted into camp, her mouth full of dock leaves. She waved her tail in greeting at her mentor and the leader as she passed, but didn't stop until she was inside the medicine den. There she left the leaves in a neat pile and went back out to meet her mentor. "I thought the pile looked low." She mewed by way of an explanation.

Tigerfang
Tigerfang circled in a sunny patch in front of the warriors' den, settling to groom himself. His ears were pricked, though, because he was listening to see if there was anything to do. He was quite thoroughly bored, though his emotions rarely registered on his face.

"Well, it looks like your apprentice is ok, and well trained too!" Rabbitstar glanced around. "Well, if Owlwhisker isn't around for apprentice advice, I might as well ask some warriors if they would care for an apprentice. Perhaps I'll even take one!" She laughed. "Also, Hawkbreeze, before I forget, I saw a weird plant growing inside my den. It was very weird, and it was red. Aren't plants only red in leaf-fall? Anyways, might want to check it out." Rabbitstar then trotted away to question some warriors about mentoring.

Rabbitstar approached Tigerfang. "Hello, Tigerfang! Just a question, would you be interested in mentoring Hammerpaw? I think you could pass on many good skills, and perhaps you could do something instead of lazing around." She teased. "But really, I think you could both use eachother well. We'll all make an unstoppable badger hunting team!"

[mandalorian]

Owlwhisper was hunting. He crouched and stalked a rabbit, then shot forward. He killed the rabbit with a bite to the neck and picked it up, along with his other rabbit. The Toms nose twitched when he caught scent something unfamiliar. He shook his head and padded back to camp.

Tigerfang
Tigerfang blinked slowly at Rabbitstar. "I was not lazing. I was waiting." He said simply. "And I will certainly train Hammerpaw- although there is no way I'm bringing anyone that young on a badger hunt. Perhaps in a moon I will let him observe- but only if he can handle himself." He gave his shoulder a few more licks and stood with a flick of his tail. "Alright, then. When should I be ready for the ceremony?"

Hawkbreeze opened her jaws to reply to Rabbitstar, but no sooner then the perhaps slightly scatter brained leader dash away, talking about badgers, young warriors, eagles, and apprentices. Noticing her apprentice, Ashpaw, the off-white medicine cat padded over to her. "Oh, thank you; I've been meaning to do that."
