"It's Rosekit's fault!" Snowkit called to Palekit. She then quickened her speed. Her paws were a rats length away from Brightkit's!

Hollystar nods. "I will make sure of that. You can go." she mewed confidently. Hollystar curled up in her nest, it was a harsh leaf-bare. At least it will be new-leaf soon.

Thank you for telling me Hollystar. You take great care of this clan and I hope you know that." Redfeather dipped her head in respect then got up and walked out of the den. She noticed that the kits were playing and decided to wait until they were done to tell them the news. Redfeather turned the other way and started to walk over to sit under her favorite tree when Greykit and Brightkit ran unto her at the same time knocking her over. "You two are getting to big to jump on me. You are becoming apprentices soon and you better not play attack me after you've had training. Now go back over there and finish your game." She scolded. "Sorry, Mom. It was an accident. We were playing 'warriors and rats' and we ran into you." Greykit called over his shoulder when he and Brightkit ran off noticing that Palekit and Snowkit were approaching. Palekit took this as an opportunity to catch one of her siblings. She quickened her pace and leaped on top of Brightkit who was right in front of her. The two stopped running and rolled around on the dry ground fighting.

Snowkit saw Palekit. Yes! She pounced on Graykit and pinned him down.

Greykit squirmed, trying to free himself from the small kit. I've got it! Greykit lowered himself all the way to the ground and then pushed up as hard as he could with his hind legs and Snowkit was flung high into the air. "Whoops! Pushed a little too hard." Greykit said as Snowkit sored through the air.

Snowkit was flung and fell onto the hard ground. Her back felt the cold frost. Well I am younger.. She made a snarl no cat could hear. Graykit wasn't facing her. She pounced on him and gripped her paws on his shoulders.

"Sorry I threw you too high into the air!" Greykit apologized. He didn't like hurting his clan mates even if they were play fitting. When Snowkit grabbed his shoulders he shook himself trying to make her let go but it didn't work. Greykit reached up with his forepaw and pushed her off. She landed on her feet and they stood face to face. I'll let her win but I will still try to make it look like I didn't purposely lose. I hope this makes up for me flinging her into the air. He thought.

She let out a low, silent growl that no cat could hear. I may be younger, but I am not weaker! She took her paw and swiped at him. Her claws sheathed. She started circling him, expecting for the kit to start circling too. It would just be like the wolves her mother fought.

[Wolf Howls]

Hollystar padded out of her den into the clearing. She slipped through the entrance into the woods. She scented.. Coyote! More than one.. Four, ten, seventeen, twenty! Twenty coyotes! She ran into the clearing of the camp. "Coyotes are going to attack!!" she yowled in fear. "Get ready!" she added.

Greykit instantly stopped circling with Snowkit and bolted to the nursery with Brightkit and Palekit right behind him.
Redfeather stopped to make sure all the kits were on there way to the nursery. Brightkit, Greykit, and Palekit will be so disappointed when they here that their apprentace ceremony was going to be today. They will just have to learn that life is not about just them. she thought herding Snowkit over to the nursery.

Sunstripe emerged quickly preparing to fight. "Hollystar I can fight!" She yowled to her clan leader. Autumnkit raced out "No Sunstripe! If you got killed, that would be killing at least two cats! You're going to give birth to kits eventually! You have to think of them!" She wailed, pleading for Sunstripe to stay, whereas Sunstripe finally gave in.
