I never found age ratings helpful. They are always decided by different groups of people and one country edits the guns while other edit all kind of naked skin. I stopped caring about age ratings when I was between 12-14 years old and I think it didn't harm me, but I was never into gore/horror anyway. Before showing something to a child, I would rather try it myself or ask others.

I've started watching Blood Lad, and my biggest concern is that it could be one of those animes that turns out to be really risqué. O_O (Also, the vampire person I don't know the name of says a swear right at the beginning, yet Netflix rates it G.)

Hm, maybe it's the only swear, or it's a weak swear? Either way, if it's the only one, I guess they didn't take notice of it, if I cared about swearing, then I wouldn't worry too much since that might end up being the only one.
