Nightshade moved back to her den silently, tail flickering about as she returned to the old owl nest in the tree, and gave Pearlman the prey she had freshly hunted. She watched the tiny kit gnaw on it while she laid down and groomed herself gently.

Wolf kit pranced over to sun paw rebuilding the nursery.

" Can I help? " he chirped.

Sunpaw smiled, and nodded happily. "Sure!" she replied to Wolfkit. "Right now I'm just trying to make sure that you and the other kits have a nice nest." She continued to paw out the moss, making sure to make it large enough in case someone found out that they were going to have kits.

Wolf kit bounced happily, and took a small chunk of moss the size of a pebble and stuffed it into a tiny crack, then headed off to find a stick to weave through the walls.

Sunpaw giggled slightly, watching as the kit bounded around while helping to rebuild the nursery. She almost wished that she could go back to being a kit sometimes, just to get a break from her mentor pushing her so much during training, although she knew that he was only doing what was best for her in the long run.

Wolf kit trotted back to the nursery his head held high with a stick no larger than a mouse tail in his mouth.

" I got the biggest stick to patch up the nursery!" He boasted.

Sunpaw nodded, pretending impressed. "That's amazing!" she exclaimed.

Wolfkit pulled the stick over to a tiny gap and fit it in.

" I just patched up the whole nursery! " he shouted into the mist gleefully, then trotted off to play moss ball.

Sunpaw giggled as Wolfkit padded away, shaking her head as she watched him go off to play with a moss ball. Sunpaw glanced around for her mentor, wondering if he had something that she needed to do.
