The elf prince heard something in the trees, but didn't waver in his step. At this point, his life had gone so very wrong and off-course that he would welcome death. He didn't feel loved, appreciated, or welcome anywhere or in anyone's life. He felt like an insignificant little elf that didn't belong in this world. He didn't know where loved had gone in his sad life.

Maethriel looked around following legolas she knew how he was feeling so she seemed to jump down from the trees landing behind him in her true form something told her that some sort of creature was nearby she could sense it but she could hear the scream of the nazgul that was nearby as she was deaf.

((we might have to share nazgul O.O cause i got some pretty interesting ideas for the nazgul attacks both of them on will happen when teekl gets back and this one will happen now cause XD nazguls XD))

Legolas fell to the ground as the deafening shriek of the Nazgul's pierced his ears. He slowly got up, his arms wavering a slight bit as he did so. He didn't fear however, as he didn't care if death wounds its way to him.

Maethriel was not able to affected by the nazgul due to her deafness but she grabbed legolas' arm nervous and pointing at the creature she didn't want to tell she had followed him but at this point she was looking to him for protection the nazgul terrified her and the creature had it's sword drawn it seemed the nazgul had sensed the ring was around this was not good.

((say chlobear you wanna be the nazgul and stab maethriel and poison her XD))

He sighed and told her "Run, I don't even care if it kills me. It seems as if everyone would be better if I was gone. There is no use for me in this world, but maybe in the next there may be." He shoved her, encouraging her to flee. He pulled out his own bow, but wasn't going to use it unless it was protecting Maethriel.

The Nazgul shrieked and ran towards the two elves. It dodged the male elf, then ran at the female one. It could sense something coming from her that it didn't like. Love. It drew its sword and stabbed the she elf right in her heart, the place love grew.

Legolas shot the Nazgul, scaring it off. He then ran over to her and gasped "Oh Maethriel! It should have been me..."

Maethriel looked at him she was in pain and dying currently she wanted to live and she was currently fighting to keep herself alive. "Legolas I wanted to tell you this before but I have feelings for you. Your not better off dead not while I still care" she said writhing with pain she was fighting keep from passing into the world of shadow and becoming a wraith herself but she did not how much longer she could last and he needed to know she cared about him if she did die and become a wraith.

The elf prince took a step back and said "Wait what? Mathreil, did you just say you love me?" He shook his head, racking his brain for what to say or do. He then realized what he needed to do to save her. "Athalas..." He muttered. Legolas then ran into the nearby forest. If he knew this forest, which he did, he knew there would be some Athalas nearby. He then looked around and noticed a small clump of it on the ground. He then sprinted back to Maethriel and began to mutter a large amount of healing spells. "Stay with me..." he whispered in her ear.

Maethriel heard him whisper stay with me she was trying definitely but it wasn't exactly easy when she could not actually vocalize how much pain she was all she could do was cry this was one of those times she wished she wasn't deaf as she was not able to continue using her magic due to her need to conserve her strength but she wanted to answer legolas' question she just couldn't exactly do it at the moment.

He continued to speak the spells of healing for a few minutes, waiting for Maethriel's breathing to slow down. "Maethriel," he said slowly, "Just so you know, I love you too."

Maethriel nodded at him to show she understood before attempting to communicate with him despite her traumatic experience "You aren't unwanted and I am glad you feel the same way" she said trying to embrace him in a hug it was rather difficult though as she felt rather weak for the moment and she really did want some comfort for him as well as she was finding it difficult calm down due to fear that the wraith would come back and finish the job.
