Hi! I'm Kathy, and this is a project we've been given at school. We have to keep a diary which I have to say I don't love. But maybe it won't be as bad as I think.

So, we started back at school on the 25th, and I already have a MAJOR crush! Jack is SUPER cute, but he's in the year above me. He's from Canada, and he has the sweetest accent. I know it's wistful thinking, but we would make a lovely couple . Well, a girl can dream...

Sasha came back from Holland today! And thank goodness; she's my best friend, and she only just got back! I was missing her soooooooooooooooooo much! I'm sure she'll have to do this project too . Bet she was hoping to get out of that one!

Hiya! I'm Sasha, and I just got back from Holland! It's beautiful there, and I love it, but it's still good to be back at school. Who'm I kidding, it's GREAT! I love school...Yes I'm a geek, deal with it! I had Maths, English, Art, PE and IT, and I love 4/5 of them. It's just, Art... Oh well. Still a good day.

There was a maths test today, on like the 5th day of school! Everyone complained: we should have made a petition or something. But yeah...I think I failed. I didn't know anything, and I was sending messages back and forth with my mate Jack. He's into this girl, but I'm not sure. It all seems a bit imperfect to me. And she's in the year below!

Sasha: Yeah...
Kathy: He emailed me!
Sasha: Really!?
Kathy: Yeah! He said he wanted to hang out...
Sasha: That's great!
Kathy: And my 'loopy' friend gave him my number...
Sasha: Well who could that be?!?
Kathy: Thank you!!!
Sasha: No biggie
Kathy: So what should I tell him?
Sasha: Say yes!
Kathy: OK..! But I've gotta go for tea now.
Sasha: OK, bye!
Kathy: Bye!

Jack: Hey man, what's up?
Josh: You still into that girl?
Jack: Yeah...
Josh: You talked to her much?
Jack: No; it's still a bit awkward. I mean, she emailed me back and everything, but I'm not sure she's actually into me, you know?
Josh: Sorry mate, not really. I'm a bit inexperienced.
Jack: It's like...OK, so it's like someone gives you a lemon sweet, and you accept it and say thanks and all that, but really you wanted a strawberry one. It's like that. You don't know if the girl wants strawberry or lemon.
Josh: O-Kayyyy. Anyway, I talked to her friend yesterday. She thinks you have a shot. Just thought you should know.

OK, so I thought it was the right move telling Jack, but now I'm starting to regret it. I...I don't want to lose my best friend.

Jack: I'm glad.
Kathy: *Are we just gonna sit here or...*

Kathy: Oh, my phone! *Saved by the beep*
A minute later.
Kathy: It's Sasha. She fell down the stairs - I'm sorry, I have to go...
Jack: No, it's fine, I'll drive you
Kathy: Aww, thanks, that's so sweet *He has a car?! That's sooo cute!*
Jack: I just parked down the road
They walked down the street in companionable silence, stopping
by a rusty truck
Sasha: *Oh*
Jack: Sorry, it's not much.
Sasha: No, no, it's...nice
Jack: *Great, now she thinks I'm a cheapskate*
They drove towards Sasha's house, with the radio on in an attempt
to limit awkward conversation.

When they reached Sasha's house...
Kathy: It's this house, up on the left
Jack: K
He pulled into a narrow driveway. There were no other cars on the driveway. Kathy began running to the door - it was locked.
Kathy: Her parents are out and the door's locked. How do we get in?
Jack: There's an open window over here. I'll give you a leg up
Kathy: Great *Super romantic*
She pushed the window open and clambered awkwardly through. With ease, Jack took a running jump and dove through the window...onto Kathy. He got up hastily
Jack: I'm really sorry! Honestly, I didn't mean to...
Kathy: It's OK *Owww*
Sasha: Hello?
Kathy: Sasha? Where are you?
Sasha: At the bottom of the stairs, genious. I had my phone in my pocket; apart from that I haven't moved.
Kathy: Oh my gosh, are you OK?
Sasha: No - I think my leg's broken!
Jack arrives on the scene, looking calm and collected. He speaks in a soft tone, and his eyes look at her with deep worry.
Jack: It doesn't look swollen, but I'll get you to hospital ASAP just in case, OK?
Sasha: Yeah
