ohh, I'm so happy to get this beautiful girl <3
Thank you carmineflyer for letting me buy her :)
I'm going to keep her name, Fara, and start her training soon! :)
Also, can her Show name be Frozen Beauty, in spirit of me getting her in the snow, and her being very pretty :)
Can you make her name tag look like this: Frozen Beauty(Fara)
Thanks <3

The First Touch

Quickly, I place my hand onto the freezing car door. I open it, and quickly scurry into the car, before cranking up the heat to max. For the past few days, I have been waiting for a response to a letter that had taken me a while to write and find the right words for. It was to an owner of a Neravontii, a very pretty one in fact. I noticed she had a shy little mare, who seemed to be untrained, and I sent her a letter asking if she would let me buy her. And just today, I got a letter back in the mail, saying my price was okay, and although she loved Fara, that's her name, very much, she said she would be happy to sell her to me since I seemed like a good owner! I'm so excited! I started up my car with a turn of the key, and slowly backed up on my snow covered dirt driveway. Carefully, I drove down the steep hill road, and drove to my destination.

Once there, I gathered my belongings; my phone, camera, and payment for Fara, I adjusted my hat, and leaped out the door. My white boots crunched in the white, glistening snow falling gently from the sky. I looked to the door of the house, and eventually arrived. I stood up tall, adjusted my coat and cat once more, and rang the bell. After chatting for a while, I pointed towards my trailer, and they lead me to Fara. I take out my camera, and snap a picture of Fara in the paddock, grazing.

In the back of their home, I find a large, yet pretty empty paddock. In it, two Neravontiis, one seeming very friendly and calm, and one a bit more shy. I walk up to the fence and stare at the shy one, not paying much attention to the other one who was munching on any leaves he could manage to scavenge in the middle of the paddock. The owner walks over to a gate, and unlatches the rusty mettle chain, and the cold, metal gate swings open wide with a large gust of wind. Fara, the Neravontii I am here for, and the other gelding in the field, Kazemde, are in two complete different areas than each other. Both of them seemed a bit shy to come and greet the stranger entering their paddock, nor did they shed any urge to stay with each other.

I followed Fara's owner into the paddock to greet Fara for the first time. Wow, she's so beautiful... The owner stops a few steps away from Fara, and she looks up from her grazing; my eyes lock on her. I keep walking towards the shy Neravontii with my hand out, palm facing up. Fara looked at my hand, and lowered and stretched our her head towards it. I moved my hand up to her face, but she quickly pulled it away before I could touch her. "She's a sneaky one," her owner laughed. I gave a small laugh, as I went in to pet her once more. And, once again, I was rejected. Fara's owner stared at me laughing at all my failed attempts, one after another, after another. Eventually, I gave up. "I'll pet her later, it's getting late, and we should probably get her used to the trailer, which should take a while." I state a bit annoyed at my failure at petting Fara. I walked to the side of Fara to get out of the pasture, and as I did, I decided I'd try once more to stroke her. Gently, I slowly extended my arm out to her neck, and left it a few inches away from her. Fara turned her neck and looked at my hand. After a lot of pondering on her part, she finally trusted me. Calmly, she lowered her head into my hand. She nuzzled me, and I placed my other hand on her shoulder and rubbed her. I smiled a huge grin, and looked over my shoulder to her owner, and we exchanged smiles as they gave me two thumbs up.

I was handed a light blue halter, and I carefully lifted it up to Fara's head. Fara's head went up high, and she moved it frantically at the halter going near her nose. I put my hand over her nose to try to guide her into the halter. Once I had done so, I quickly adjusted the buckle on the fairly new halter, and reached for the rope that was being handed to me by her owner, being extra careful to keep one hand on Fara's halter so she wouldn't run off. With a snap of the lead line, I happily leaded Fara out of the paddock, and near my trailer. Fara's pasture mate ran up to the fence to see what was happening. Somehow, it didn't take too long to get Fara into the trailer as I had expected, it only took about half an hour! She took a few hesitant steps as the trailer ramp was gold and covered in a light dusting of white snow, but I would say it went pretty smoothly! I handed my payment for Fara to her previous owner. She was now mine. I hopped into my truck, turned around, and beeped my horn saying "good bye" and I yelled "Thank you" out of my window as I drove off to my house, with Fara.

The First Saddle

With Fara all settled in at her new, more lively home, I notice a change in her. Fara used to be a very shy, skittish neravontii when she first arrived. Fern seemed to be her closest friend, then Ferris, and she didn't do too well with Fay. The first day, I let Fara into the paddock with everyone else, and Fay ran right up to her and started wanting to play. I tried to shoo her away rom Fara, as I could see Fara was getting a bit scared, but it was no use. Ferris saw the pretty mare struggling with all the new excitement, although for Fara, it was more scary, so Ferris ran up to Fay to amuse her instead, and then the two of them went to go catch some birds flying dangerously low(for the birds at least, for Fay and Ferris, more of snack height), or maybe a mice if they could reach over the fence and into the forest. With Ferris and Fern eating animals, Fern didn't join in the hunt, obviously, so she investigated the terrified haltered mare I was holding on a loose lead. The two of them are close friends, although, Fara tends to not always join in the herd when they play games, or graze and sleep together, she tends to live on the outskirts of the paddock. And somehow, this lone mare always seems to be causing me some sort of trouble. She's defiantly a sneaky one!

"Alright, time to get you saddled up for the first time," I say to Fara as I walk her over to the fence and tie her lead line to the post. I take a stiff brush that was on the ground, and start brushing the dirty snow off of her back. This time, she had gotten into the dirt, somehow. I turn my back on her to pick up her saddle pad, and place it on her back. She seems not to care much, and I turn to lift up the heavy saddle. When I turn around, there's no saddle pad in sight! All of a sudden, I realize where the missing saddle pad went, I look to Fara's tail, where she holds the saddle pad, it flapping in the air. She gives me a grin, as I jump up and down attempting to snatch it from her grip. Eventually, I do, and I quickly place the saddle over it so she can't get a hold of it again.

Quickly, I run to the other side of Fara, and put the girth up on the first buckle. I can easily see it's no where near tight enough, as I could easily fit a fist under there, between the girth and Fara's belly. I tighten the girth a few more buckles, and it's about tight enough. I stand back for a second and Fara doesn't move. SHe glances at me, unsure if she is allowed to move. I motion my head for her to walk around, but she stays put. Taking a small step, I lean over and tap her on her hind legs, and she throws them under her and she's off! I squint my eyes, is that the saddle sliding back? No, it can't be. I tightened the girth up all the way! And then, it hits me like a bus, she must have bloated while I was putting her girth on!!

I quickly sprint over as fast as I could to Fara running around. The stirrups flapping around, hitting Fara. Is that the saddle, sliding? I question myself. But I soon, realize, it is. I yell anxiously for Fara to end her crazy running, but it's no use. Quickly, the saddle started to slip off Fara's back, then the girth came undone, and it was all over; into the wet snow it went. "Ugg! Fara!" She stopped and turned to me. Her pretty brown and white face showed a tiny bit of gilt, but not much, but I couldn't stay mad at her. I walked up to my new Neravontii, past the snowy saddle. Just as I reached her, she turned towards me. I placed my hand onto her forehead, and moved it down her face, to her cheek. I rested my exhausted head onto her's, "It's okay girl, We'll get better at it."

The First Ride

Hmm... I don't think she's ever been ridden before, so this may take some time with her...Most of the white snow outside had melted away, and made the farm a muddy place. Recently, I found out I was getting another Neravontii, a gray mare, and I figured soon, it would be a time of change. The paddock could only hold so many Neravontiis, and with plenty of space left near my pretty small house, I figured, it was time to expand. Either make more paddocks, or extend and replace the old rickety one that was left for me. Someone had suggested to me I try building a stable, but personally, I didn't like the idea of keeping my Neravontii's stuck inside a small stall all day, so building a stable was out of the picture for me. Maybe I can get another paddock, and have a riding ring set up... Ohh ohh! And maybe a wash stall for when they get dirty for shows, and I can get a nice, new shed, rather than that old mossy one for my tack! Ohh, the possibilities are endless! Also, to add to my new Neravontii's, Ferris recently left to see a mare, owned by WildHorse32, they picked him up a few days ago for breeding with their mare, Ghost. So soon, I'd be expecting a foal as well. But change was not something I needed to think about now, I had to focus on Fara.

I walked into the old shed, and picked up my training tack. It was a simple set of old, worn brown leather tack, filled with scratches and a few rips and tears here and there, but it worked for training purposes as of now. I carried the tack out the door, and forcefully kicked out behind me to close the shed's door, which often didn't stay shut. Fara was chasing a bird in the air, the bird seemed to be teasing her since she couldn't reach it. Being so focused on that silly ol' bird, Fara didn't even notice me walk into the paddock. Fay ran right up to me, and nudged my back to play. She hadn't played much with Ferris gone now, but I ignored her playfulness, and she ran back to Fern who was peacefully grazing, too smart to fall into Fay's "tricks".

"Fara! Come here!" I yelled with joy in my voice to Fara. I placed the saddle and saddle pad on the top rail of the old fence, draped the girth onto the saddle, and hung everything else. Slowly, Fara looked towards me, as the bird quickly flew away from their little game. Angered by the fact that her possible dinner left her, Fara decided to mosey along over to me. "Hey girl," I talked to her as I put her halter on. This time, I decided to not tie the lead line to the fence, and just drape it over her neck as if it were a pair of reins. By now, Fara had somewhat gotten used to her tack, but I really needed to speed up my training process if I were to get another Neravontii and a foal. I quickly tacked up Fara's saddle, facing only minor difficulties of her trying to pull it off, or nip at it. Next, I quickly attached her tail piece, and breast strap; went on like a breeze. I took the bridle, and placed the reins over her neck so she wouldn't run off. I unlatched her halter, and threw it under the fence, where hopefully, she wouldn't trip on it.

I slipped my finger into her mouth where Neravontii's didn't have any teeth, and when she opened her mouth, I quickly slid the bit in. Fara, let's say, was not a fan of the bit, she's a bit picky when it comes to stuff in her mouth, whether it's a bit, or food. But either way, we had to ride today, so I walked to the side of her, and took a hold of the reins. I made her walk closer to the fence so I could reach her. Although Fara was probably my shortest Neravontii, she was still a challenge to saddle up and mount from the ground. Slowly, I found enough courage to climb up onto the fence rail, lean up Gait her. I talked to her to let her know I was there, and I put my left foot into the stirrup. She took the pressure pretty well, so I moved my foot a bit more, taking pressure on and off and on again. Once I was sure she didn't mind he extra weight, I leaned forwards, and put all my weight into the left stirrup.

Fara looked scared to see me on top of her. She continuously sifted her weight back and forth. I calmed her anxious behavior. I rubbed my hand up and down her soft neck, and spoke to her. She always seemed to calm down when I did that. Getting her into the trailer, I had done so, and it seemed to calm her; maybe her mother did that to her as a foal? Once reassuring Fara it was okay, and she was going to be fine, I gave her a gentle squeeze in her belly to let her know to walk on/ "walk on," I asked nicely. She seemed very confused at what I wanted her to do. I lifted the rens off her neck, and put them forwards, as high up on her neck that I could reach, and squeezed her belly once more, "Walk on girl, it's okay," I cooed her. Then, she took her first step. It was an uneasy, not very well balance movement of her, but it didn't matter. I gave her a huge pat on the neck, and raised her, "Good job Fara! I'm so proud of you!" I squeezed her nce again, and she started taking two steps, and I praised her for moving. Once again, and many times after that, I squeezed her belly, she took a step or two more than the last time, and eventually, she started walking with me on her. "Alright girl," I started to say with a smile, "That's enough for one day," I laughed as I leaned forwards onto her neck. I wrapped my arms around her neck, and gave her a huge before dismounting. Despite the short, tedious ride, I could tell with plenty of practice, she would get used to it, and become a great Neravontii!
