What I've seen is the aesc (æ.) That's the only thing I could think of.

As for talking to people about daemonism, I just don't. Same reason I don't bring up the otherkin topic, it's a personal thing that doesn't really need to be broadcasted. And from the outside it sounds really weird to say I have an invisible antelope that lives in my head and talks to me.

Collecting items to do with your daemon seems like a nice idea. I don't have much to do with Muri, but I have a small fox plushie and plastic model toy which I keep on my "special shelf of special things". c: Even if she does prefer a different form in the future, I'll still love the items I've bought. Just because she might not be a fox doesn't mean I'll stop liking foxes!

Me and Muri have been having a little problem, sort of. We've classed Muri as male ever since I first started projecting her. But recently we've decided (or rather, Muri has) that she'd prefer to be female, but can't choose between the two. Sometimes she prefers one, sometimes the other. Daemons are in a way genderfluid anyway, right? I'm not really sure, but... ^u^'

I would say that dæs have their own genders. Sol is male, but he is only masculine in his voice. I would call that 'neutral male'. It depends on your dæ's preferences. If they're genderfluid, that's fine.

They are pretty much s*xless (I don't think I can write that word on here without censoring it??), but most of them a definitely not genderless. Of course, there are some exceptions, but most people prefer to project them as s*exless. My Tos has only ever been a male, and I've never projected him as a female animal. But from what I can gather, it's pretty normal to have a gender-crisis :3

Hey, haven't posted here in a while. Dael and I are still around though. He still prefers the form of an orange gecko, but lately he's liking being a black stag or a bobcat.

I too have trouble remembering to project him sometimes, and that wallpaper advice has definitely helped. It's a bit weird to unlock my phone and see a gecko staring at me, but it's a great reminder.

I've never really had gender troubles with my dae. He's just always been male. I considered him being female occasionally, but it just doesn't seem right.

Is that 'telling people about deamonism' topic still floating around? I keep to myself anyway, so I really just don't tell people. I'm usually pretty open with spiritual things, but daemonism and otherkin are just hard to talk about. I've told my little brother, but a 7 year old is pretty non-judgmental and easy to talk to.

Hello everyone!

Another oldtimer coming out of the woodwork and rejoining CS. My name is Hogosha, I've been a daemian for it'll be 11 years this year (summertime-ish). My daemon's name is Kalerian, Kael for short and presently stable as an American pika. He's a rather serious and quiet sort, very calm, open and logical...he's proven to be a nice compliment to my own traits (which lean much more strongly to the anxious, inflexible, emotional and sensitive). I try very much to be a helpful sort and I've experienced more than my fair share of form crises, false settlings and such-like as that. If any of you ever want a caring and nonjudgmental sounding board for form issues or finding, don't hesitate to ask or PM. I have quite a lot of experience in most rodent/lagomorph forms, it feels like I've tried the majority at least once; I've also dabbled some in more solitary ungulates but I love any kind of animal research. For those interested in personality types, I'm ISFJ (although my F and T tend to be so close together it's negligible in tests), 6w5, Hufflepuff, Lawful good.

Unfortunately there aren't a lot of pika-themed quality products out there. I'm debating a requesting a custom necklace or carved figure, but I'd like to have a few more months of stability first. I have a veritable ark of figures, necklaces, plushies and books on different creatures I've tried over the years. XD Some day I'll sell them all off but for now they're fun to go through from time to time, see how far I've come, how I've grown and how I've gotten to know and understand myself better.

My profile isn't pretty and I don't have a signature or anything yet but I'll be fixing up all of that properly soon. It's good to be back.

Your screen name looks familiar to me, too. I was here several years back, Kael was a Tibetan mastiff then if that helps? I think my username was Tibetador but I'm not positive. I hung out here and over at the Christianity thread a lot :3

I like Dael's name, though it's not as familiar to me as your SN. I'd remember that. Either way it's nice to meet you n.n Is that his full name, or is Dael a nickname?

Re: Talking to people, given that I'm on the older end it's usually wiser for me to keep my daemon to myself. A very small number of rl family/acquaintances know about him and that's it. I would be willing to share the concept if I think it will be helpful to the person (or they're curious about spirit guides, etc) but I am no daemon evangelist. It's a topic that must be approached carefully, as a lot of people might think it's just bonkers.

Re: gender, Kael has always been 100% male. He's never once been fluid in gender or gender neutral, so I can't really relate in that regard. I don't project him as a complete male creature, since he's my daemon, not a pika who can go have baby pikas XD But his voice is masculine. I have known plenty of people whose daemons changed name or gender, often more than once, so I wouldn't consider it unusual. Just not typical for everyone. ^^

Hmm, it seems so familiar, but i wasn't around back then (at least, I wasn't on the daemon thread then. I used to be SpiritOfTheBlueMoon). And being Pagan, I definitely haven't been hanging around the Christianity thread :3

What, if any, inanimate objects has your dae turned into?

Mine just turned into a mini hopping mountain (I was thinking about mountains for some reason, idk) the other day. He's been more in the past, but I don't remember them now.

Dael will sometimes have on silver cuffs in his wolf form, and occasionally he adds a collar to his more domesticated forms.
