Littlestep listened to what he had to say. When her mate was finally done saying what he'd obviously been thinking about for a long time, she wasn't sure how to respond to him. He'd really leave his clan for her? Of course she couldn't ask him to do that, but just the thought that he was willing to do anything for her was enough. "Tigerfang I'd love to have our own family." She purred with excitement as she licked his cheeck, "I couldn't ask you to leave Dawnclan for just me, we will find a way to make it work. I promise."


Ashfire laid back down to wait for Scarletflower, though he really wasn't in any kind of hurry. Back to enjoying the warmth of the sun, the combatant even closed his eyes. He tried to stay alert though, for the simple fact that they were on a patrol. (wb)

Also, I'm super happy cuz I got ny Sadie Hawkins dance dress for Friday.)

Tigerfang let out a relieved sigh and pressed his cheek gently against hers. A purr rose in his throat and his eyes were filled with love and compassion he'd never be able to explain. "And I promise I'll take care of you and our family, no matter what the clans will say."

Scarletflower swiped her tongue around her muzzle, a sign that she was finished with her meal. She stood up but plopped back down next to Ashfire, pressing her pelt against his sun-soaked one, which was especially warm due to its dark color, and closed her eyes to soak up her own bit of sun.

((Ugh, my next school dance in prom. I'm really dreading dress shopping and the dance itself.))


Littlestep rubbed her head against his chest and under his chin as she purred loudly enjoying the moment, "I know you will." The she-cat was a bit worried, but that wouldn't stop her from being happy with Tigerfang. She'd do whatever she could to be with him, even if it meant risking her own life. Then it suddenly hit her, would she be able to send one of her kits to Dawnclan and let Tigerfang enjoy being a dad as well? Of course he'd take good care of their kit but, she still couldn't imagine doing what her own mother had done. How would she choose when the time came. Would she be well enough to even carry kits. Worry started to cloud her mind and eyes, though she dared not ruin this for Tigerfang.


Ashfire felt the long ginger fur press against his as Scarletflower finished her meal, "You know we should finished our patrol." He told her without even bothering to open his eyes. He wanted to move just about as much as she did.

(Ooh prom isnt until spring for us.
This was my first time officially going "dress shopping" and let me say I rarely wear skirts or dresses. Sweaters are acceptable. But since I'm a freshman i dunno what the expectations of dances are in highschool yet.)

Tigerfang felt her stiffen slightly. He knew she was worrying, but he knew not of why, besides the facts of the hardships they, as parents, would have to take. The tiger tom murmured in her ear,"It'll be alright." Only the utmost love and concern filled his voice. "We'll figure things out. Everything will turn out okay." He wanted her to be okay, for everything to turn out right. But he knew life sometimes took unexpected turns, and he'd try his best, do his best, to prevent them from happening.

Scarletflower felt herself smile as she grunted,"We have all day, don't we?" She stretched out a paw, releasing some of the hot air from between her paw pads. "Besides, we aren't today's only patrol." It felt nice to spend some time with Ashfire. Her head was clear and the moment was fresh, and she wanted nothing more than to stay with him in the sun.

(Haha the thing I wrote about her stretching is something my cat does. He gets too hot when he lays down so he stretches out his paws to let out the air in between his toes. For whatever reason.)

"I'd rather you not go out on your own." Hazelpaa stood up. "So, I'll go with you. Just help me remove this pile of herbs..." the she-cat got a leaf, filled it with as many of the herbs as she could, rolled it up, and carried it outside to dispose it.

She nodded, copying the she-cat as she picked up her own pile of the old remedies. That's when she let out a sigh. "I just remembered, what about Firekit? I can't Jist leave him here all by himself." She said as she was just about to follow Hazelpaw out of camp.

Hazelpaw stopped. She murmured,"alright, hand me your herbs.... I'll just go. Stay with Firekit." The she-cat cat's tail flicked, knowing Swiftbreeze now had a responsibility.

- - - - - Opening one of his eyes to look at her, Ashfire gave her a slight shrug, "Technically." He was still tired from not sleeping the night before and had no quarrels with a little bit of rest, even if it was on the job. Reclosing the eye he had opened the black feline exhaled.

- - - - - After listening to all of his comforting words, Littlestep felt a bit of her worry just melt away into nothing. Of course all of the questions still remained in the back of her mind, but at this point she was bothered by them. Leaning away from his chest, the small combatant looked up at Tigerfang and smiled.

Scarletflower flicked an ear lazily as she listening to Ashfire's comforting voice. She soon grew drowzy, having not slept earlier due to her vigil. The noises and her surroundings soon blurred and grew peaceful. (Timeskip then?)

Tigerfang gently entwined his tail with Littlestep's, a gentle purr in his throat was softening. "I love you, Littlestep." He murmured in her ear, a soft smile on his maw. "I'll always love you." Every time Tigerfang lookes looked at Littlestep, his heart beat got a little faster and he got a bit more joyful.
