Bilbo pressed his lips together, "N-No, Kili, I don't really think you would understand." he stamped his foot in frustration. "It's a silly old ring, can I have it back now?" He felt more irritation boiling up inside of him when Maethriel separated him from Kili and the ring. The Hobbit was so anxious that he was hardly bothered when the Savannah Elf suddenly penetrated his mind with a telepathic message. All he wanted was the ring. He needed to get it back; he didn't care if it used to be Sauron's, it was
his now. "I don't care, it's mine!" the Hobbit whipped out Sting and aimed it first at Maethriel, then at Kili, although his arm was shaking and he clearly wasn't thinking straight.

Tauriel could only give Kili a helpless expression when he glanced at her for answers. She knew this ring was powerful, but to what extent she dared not imagine. In fact, she was a bit distracted by Maethriel; her gaze kept drifting back to the Savannah Elf. There was something about her that was familiar, although Tauriel couldn't quite place it. A frown tugged at her lips, but she was pulled away from her thoughts when Bilbo took out his dagger and started to threaten people with it. She had drawn her bow in an instant, an arrow notched in moments. "Put the dagger away, Master Hobbit."

Mila gave a slight nod of consent. "As detestable and arrogant as Elves are, I wouldn't want any harm to come to their children. Children are innocent little things," she agreed, then cocked her head at Aslaf. He seemed to be worried about something; she wondered what exactly was worrying him. Most likely it was the thought of Sauron and Orcs. That seemed to have an unsettling effect on people. She offered up a meek smile. "...Are...you alright?"
