In my home classroom that we go to every morning, we have a resident huntsman spider who likes to sit on the wall above the main door.
Today, my class decided to give "him" a name. Jeff.
So now Jeff the spider is our eight-legged brown class pet/mascot.
The whole "mascot" thing may or may not have originally been my idea. Oops.
