"My dear Augustine," he said. "Though you are awfully dear to me, wouldn't it look very bad for your family's image for you to be staying with some man (they don't know yet) overnight?" He kept her arm near him as he looked down into her eyes. He started to feel somewhat overcome with her. He thought for a minute. "Suppose we take adjacent rooms?" he continued. "I'll be just next door, and if anything happens, you're welcome to stay in my room or vice versa."

Augustine thought for a minute before saying,"Okay, we can take adjacent rooms. But if I hear one noise, expect me to run into your room and crawl up next to you..." She then quickly added," For protection of course." Augustine was always the person to get scared at night and run into her older brothers room and crawl up next to him. She was never alone at night, due to occasional night terrors about different things, so she always had someone to run to. But if someone was with her the night terrors never happened. "But tomorrow, you must also expect for me to take you to meet my father." She didn't mention her mother due to the fact she was deceased and father said to never talk about the dead unless the person knew the dead person. She smiled, "Shall we get going, Sir William." She giggled at the fact she used the addressing of sir with someone her age. Her blonde hair bounced when she bounced on the balls of her feet.

"Sounds fair enough, and certainly if you're taking me to see your father." He said. He was amused to hear her calling him "Sir William". Though most of his happiness came from her giggling. "I'm ready to go," he said, and he started walking arm in arm with Augustine towards the hotel. The night air was surprisingly pleasant and quiet for the city. He walked along the pavement that he was so used to patrolling. Still, it was so strikingly different. His usual tall stance was every now and then broken, when he would look at Augustine affectionately. He walked so much slower than usual, and for once he let himself admire the night sky. It was all so different with Augustine at his side.

Augustine walked beside William, as she looked up at the sky. The stars and both of the moons had always fascinated her, but her chance of having a job in that field was gone, due to them no longer studying the sky. Augustine held Williams hand as she walked, so she wouldn't get lost on the way with him. She noticed him admiring the sky as well, "Do you enjoy looking at the sky too?" Augustine, smiled when she talked to William, which was a rare thing for her to do to anyone.

She looked at the elevator with certain interest. It was rather convenient to have, as they didn't have to walk up the countless hotel steps to get to her room on the 4th floor. Walking wasn't such a bad thing, but elevators were better. Alexis turned her head partway towards the boy as he spoke. "I saw the sign while I was walking down the street; so I thought, 'why not'? After all, this is a unique hotel, like you said."e, considering as response."
His next question threw her a little bit, and Alexis paused before replying. She did live in a mansion - well, at one point. Maddie and she had lived in the lap of luxury, born with a silver spoon in their mouths, as the sayings go. Of course, the government ruined that the moment they stepped inside to inquire after the presence of shifters. She had fled, leaving their beautiful house to burn, and Maddie with it. That was seven years ago. Doing her best to keep her fury and sorrow from her face, Alexis shrugged. "I don't, really. My uncle is rather wealthy, and he lives a while away from here. He offered to lend me money to go on a vacation and I chose here. After all, it's got an elevator!" She offered another tight smile, hoping he wouldn't question her further.

He nodded. She seemed tence, like she was hiding something. The elevator stopped and they got out. He walked her to room 413 and unlocked it. "here's your key." he said handing it to her. "And heres your room. Would you like some room service?"

"I do," he said dreamily. "but it's never enough. I'm usually so distracted with work and everything." He sighed contentedly. "It's always lovely, whether I realize it or not. Whether anyone else realizes it either. I haven't given it much thought in a long time. I suppose that you draw that out in me. A dreamy and thoughtful mood. It's sort of odd to feel this way, but it's blissful. Usually I just worry about the future or focus on the task at hand. I'm not much of a daydreamer either, but every now and then I feel so contemplative." He looked back at Augustine. "I suppose it depends who I'm with. The people I'm usually with are so rough and thoughtless, so I do the same. It seems like the standard. Sometimes I feel like the odd one out in any given group of officials. You, though, you make me feel at ease, and it's beautiful." He smirked. "I suppose it makes me more personable than the other officials in the long run, and I can certainly find some pleasure in that."

Augustine smiled and said,"I don't see why we don't study the sky anymore. It's a beautiful thing." Augustine held his hand, then added,"It's kinda how they disapprove of my male name. I don't think it really matters." She looked at William and said,"Maybe you should be with me more often then," then she giggled. Augustine was truly a flirt with people she found interesting, or people that seemed a little high(insane). Augustine asked William for the time, as she fiddled around in her bag for her medication. Augustine found her small bag that had her medications in it, and pulled it out. It wasn't unusual for high class people to take medication due to their sleep disorders, occasional insanity, depressions and anything else the government could think of. Augustine only had depression, and a sleep disorder. She looked up at William.

"I can absolutely agree that I should spend more time with you." He said. "It is a pity that no one bothers to study the sky anymore. Who knows? Maybe you could be the first to renew everyone's interest. Maybe discover something new. You can't let others limit you." He smiled pleasantly at her. "I've never even thought of your name as a male name, so it's really a pity to hear that some people disapprove like that." He watched as she fiddled with her medications, barely even noticing that she asked the time. He quickly pulled out his beaten up pocketwatch and opened it with a satisfying click. "Oh," he said, "it's nearing midnight. In about half an hour from now." It was nothing new for him to see a high class person with medication, much like every official takes serums. He just assumed that anyone close enough to the government was drugged up in someway. Oddly, he didn't even care. He put too much faith in any authority. He looked down at her. "Well," he said, "I'll check us in." He stopped to observe Augustine. "I don't mean to be nosy, but I couldn't help but notice your sleeping medications. Is this why you wished to share a room?"

Augustine nodded trying to open her sleeping medication, "Yeah, I don't like sleeping in rooms alone." She fiddled with the cap, before finally getting it opened. Augustine put two of the sleeping medications in her mouth along with the anti depressant. She waited for William to check them in quietly. When he came back she said,"These will all kick in around 3 hours from now..."Augustine ran her hand through her hair as she put her medication back into her bag. She looked up at William and smiled. Somehow William brought out her happy part of her without her mental mind even thinking about it.

William waited until Augustine had put her medications away before taking her hand. He walked beside her to the room and ran ahead to open the door for her. The door opened to a simple but pleasant room with a large homely chair beside the bed. William followed Augustine in and shut the door softly. He walked over to the chair, and faced Augustine. "I've made up my mind," he said. "You seemed uneasy about staying here alone, so I'll be here for the night. The other room is still rented, because I mean to give you as much of an option as I can. I will do my best to keep you at your happiest." He smiled at her charmingly. "Besides, if the meds take three hours to work, then it wouldn't be right of me to let you lose sleep." He set his cap on the hat rack and took his jacket off button by button, revealing a crisp white shirt underneath. "Thing gets so hot." he muttered, hanging it up carefully.
