As she sat at a table at the food court she looked around "Oh crap." She mumbled and ducked down. She rolled her eyes and his at her sister when she looked around asking what. "Brice is here and i look like this... Not that i care but still he is with his friends." She said rolling her eyes. She had a ketchup stain from the fries she had just got done eating and she groaned. "Let me borrow your new clothes" she whisper yelled to her then took them before she could answer and ran to the bathroom.

While she waited Ashlynn got a brilliant idea "Hey, Donny come here!" She called and waved them over. Cope would kill her for this but she didnt like seeing her sister mope around. Ashlynn put on a sweet smile and crossed one leg over the other and waited for the guys to come over to her

The guys were caught up in their conversation full of joking, laughing, discreetly pointing, and commenting on the different people they saw around them. Though, they all stopped when they heard Donny's name get called and he looked around. He spotted Ashlynn waving not too far off. The guys passed each other questioning looks before Donny nodded his head in her direction, signaling that they should go. He lead the way. Brice was hesitant, but followed, lagging behind his friends.

"'Sup, Ash? Still looking hot as ever." He grinned. Jason chuckled and Brice just sort of rolled his eyes.

"Oh i know." She said and looked at her nails "So when are you going to text me about our date?" She asked and grinned raising her eyebrows at him. Ashlynn was a flirt but she was good at it, she always got anything she wanted.

Copeland walked back to the table in her new clothes. She ignored the guys then sat back in her chair. She looked up at the boys "You guys want to sit?" She asked gesturing to the open chairs. She tossed her hand through her hair then bit her glossy lip.

[Aato]

"Oh! Our date, right... No worries. I'll text you as soon as I've got everything settled. Only the best for the best girl, ya know." He winked.

Jason hiked an eyebrow. "...Date? You never told--" He stopped short when Donny jabbed him with an elbow.

Soon, all of their attention turned to Copeland when she approached the table and sat. Brice looked up then looked away, but...had to look at least one more time, doing a double take of how she was dressed.

"Aw, Brice, look, your scrub is being nice to us," Jason teased. Donny elbowed him again and he groaned. Brice just stared down at his feet, crossing his arms.

"What are you doing? I'm trying to make a move on her sister and you're going to say something like that?" Donny whisper yelled.

"...I don't see the problem... Ashlynn's one of us..." Jason grumbled with a frown.

Donny just ignored him. "Sure," he said with a smile, turning back to Copeland before making his way to sit. He settled in the next seat available next to Ashlynn. Jason instinctively sat beside Donny. Aaand... that left Brice the awkward place next to Copeland. He sat and was sure not to look at her.

Copeland rolled his eyes at his comment "You know... Whatever your name is... You will never find a girl with that attitude. Jerk isnt a good look isnt a good look on anyone especially a guy like you so id fix that while i was ahead. You dont want to end up like some people at this table" She said harshly yet casually and glanced at Brice then stood up and left the table to throw her trash away. Ashlynn chuckled at her sisters words "Oh dont mind her. She doesnt mean all of it." She teased and took a drink of her soda. "So what brings you guys here?" She asked looking around the table.

When her little lecture to Jason changed course to point fingers at him, Brice lifted his head with a little scowl, casting a glare at her once she left the table. He then cleared his throat and sat up in his seat. What was he doing? He was being a child. He wasn't about to let her chastise him and he wasn't going to 'hide' from her.

"We came to just, uh..." Jason thought about what to say so he wouldn't get hit by Donny again. "...check out people...walk around...look around... That's all. Brice was bored, so we're entertaining him." He chuckled.

Ashlynn nodded listening "Cool, well im glad you guys did." She said and smiled at Donny. "Is there anything going on tonight?" She asked and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

Copeland sighed and went back to the table. She poked Brice shoulder "Can we talk? Alone." she whispered to him and smiled nervously. She couldnt take this awkwardness, he was basically her best and only friend and she couldnt lose that now. "Please." She added and crossed her arms over her chest

"Yeah," Donny nodded, pulling out his phone. "Lana's having a party at her place later at 9. ...You wanna go?" He asked and let a flirty hand touch her knee.

Brice jumped when Copeland touched him. Okay, so, he was a little scared of her right now, but when he looked, he could see she was just as nervous around him now as he was with her. He stayed silent, but nodded, not saying anything to the others at the table neither as he stood from his chair. To some extent, he'd been waiting for this moment -- he just hadn't expected it to come so soon. He reached for Copeland's wrist and led her out of the mall before releasing his hold.

Ashlynn turned pink then moved his hand "Ill think about it." she raised an eyebrow and crossed one leg over the other.

Copeland followed him then looked at him when he let her go "Look. Im not going to make some big grand speech that would make you fall in love with me because that only happens in the movies. But i will be honest and get this off my chest." She started pacing back and forth "Okay... Brice i have feelings for you. Feelings ive never felt and never thought id feel but i love feeling them. Whenever im around you its like i can do any and everything, like i have the world at my feet, like i could fly and i know thats cheesey but thats how it feels. I dont know if you could tell or not but im not a people person and im sorry about what i said in there by the way, you arent a jerk. Brice you were so many first times for me and for some odd reason i cant get you out of my head." She stopped pacing and ran her hands over her face "I like you a lot and i dont know maybe its a little bit more than like, i havent gotten that far and i really didnt think id get this far honestly" she rambled and started pacing once again. "Okay, okay. The point is, is that Brice Tang i have feelings for you. I would climb the tallest mountain and scream it to the whole world if i could. I understand if you dont feel the same and you can go in there and tell your friends i said all of this i dont care. I just had to tell you." She sighed with relief and looked at him

Brice listened to her speech just kind of... frozen. He watched her pace and sigh and gesture, and when she finished, he opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. He closed his mouth and cleared his throat to try again, but this time, he couldn't even open his mouth. He then made a bit of a humming sound as though he were thinking and shifted his weight. He wasn't sure how to respond and it was taking him time to process this...his emotions and now hers.

Then, a phrase finally weaseled itself out. "...You're...weird." His lips curved into a light smile. Okay, so, it wasn't the greatest response, but it was the only thing he could come up with. He stepped closer and wrapped his arms around her shoulders. "...But who said I didn't like weird?" It was then that he understood now. He knew exactly 'why' -- why it mattered, why it hurt before -- he totally got it.

He then pulled away and looked at her before giving her hair a playful ruffle, messing it up and chuckling. "Come," he stated, grabbing hold of her again and pulling her with him. Now that the fog was clearing, he could think of bright ideas and make quick, detailed decisions... like the one he was going to make in just a moment.
