Excuse me? I didn't say you were lying. I have enough on my plate right now without being accused, thank you.

Perhaps you misheard something. Why ban huskies?

No worries. I just think it's a bit unrealistic to ban huskies over here, you know?
Yes, they can be treated incorrectly, but so can any breed.

I wouldn't worry about it too much it's unlikely they will do it. Also just because you heard something that doesn't make it true jabati it's like when people start rumors that perpetuate into really big rumors more often then not theres usually not enough proof to say it's and theres usually not anything more then word of mouth which usually isn't enough to validate anything.

I usually don't trust people who just say they have siblings grandmothers or people who work for a place unless they seem to know great deal about what it is that said family member does if so then i can assume it's truth. but other then that I like to assume that it's not true until proven otherwise.

also if anyone else wants to post i love wolves please don't unless you have something valuable to contribute to the current conversation i'd suggest you don't post things like that as thats not in least helpful.. at least have more of reason then wolfs are fluffy and cute and adorable and i love thems.

Diariapeck wrote:If this does happen, wolves and alsation you all owe me something

Don't fear monger diariapeck also we don't owe you anything we owe absolutely nothing the alsatian is considered it's own breed at least spell the breed right if you are going to talk about a breed alsatians are actually very large and very friendly huskies can be let off leads if trained correctly if you really believe something will happen and that we all owe you something because you believe they will ban huskies and the alsatian dog then i suggest you dont post things like that. Those sort of things are fear mongering especially if someone who owns an alsatian and husky where to come on this forum and panic maybe they breed them and your posts would send them into panic.

Alsatians are also long hair where as gsds are shorthair alsatians are also larger then gsds and come in different colors other then the gsd coloring. the alsatian is a shepard dog but it is not a german shepard by any means german shepards are however one of the foundation breeds for it hence the coloring. there are other dog breeds that influenced both the size and shape of alsatian the goal of alsatian was originally to breed something as large as dire wolf originally but it quickly became a matter of temperament and they started breeding for companion dog purposes. So they are pretty much an a companion dog breed.

perfect example of an american alsatian They look vastly different then german shepards but because of coloring they can easily be mistaken for them sometimes.

also people do get them hair cuts in summer so you can kind of understand that if the dog looks liek german shepard in color and is shaved they can be mistaken for german shepherd quite easily.

I love wolves and coyotes, they just look so graceful and peaceful and I don't understand how people think they are a menace to society. Yeah sure they kill our food supplies, but we have plenty of food right? I mean you could have lost money but the government repays you for it. Wolves and coyotes do this for a purpose, a natural purpose that we all need: survival. We have plenty of food and most of it is already partially eaten and thrown away, can't the wolves and coyotes have a break for once? And why hunt such a precious species we may never see again? They look... horrible when they are dead. It's more beautiful to see them alive. They are living creatures like us, that don't deserve this violence. (I especially think they are super fluffy and adorable and want my own wolf as a pet even though I shouldn't because it seems like a wrong thing to do when they should be living outside in the wild, free) So yes, I love wolves and coyotes equally and they are personally my most favorite animals in the world. If they went extinct I would probably rage quit on everything and kill the whole face of the planet, ridding all hunters or people that decided to kill them. Just... sheesh. They are beautiful. :(

GSD's and Alsatians are the exact same breed in the UK just different names.
The German Shepherd was renamed the Alsatian Wolf Dog in the UK during the second world because of the war with Germany. A few years later the Wolf Dog was dropped hence the Alsatian.
Over the past 30 years they were renamed the German Shepherd Dog with the Alsatian in brackets so on pedigree papers it read German Shepherd Dog ( Alsatian ) the Alsatian has since been dropped by UK kennel so it is know just The German Shepherd.
Alsatian is a sub group still used by some people to differentiate between the English type ( straight back and smaller ) and the typical GSD type ( sloped back and not as short ) UK breeders are trying to get registered as a separate breed but the Kennel Club say no as its technically one breed.

The kennel club is technically wrong though as the breed does have it's own unique traits the american alsatian is really what it's called but i guess people just don't think the dog breed is it's own breed because they are too set in their ways to see the differences in them. because it's not really a german shepard it isn't one breed if it was they would look exactly same

the alsatian is not and cannot be considered the same especially the american alsatian which absolutely positively does not look anything like german shepard except in color. the alsation is not a gsd and the gsd is not an alsatian they are not the same and the ukc is very picky aboout it's breeds in first place so even though they say somethings not breed it's because they don't like to consider them a breed not because it's not a seperate breed but simply because they don't like it. at one point in time i believe several dog breeds that where considered breeds where not on or recognized by the UKC even though they had clear defining traits that made them different. but they weren't on it because of the ukcs opinions alot of ukc is defined by opinion so sometimes even if dog breed is a really considered breed they won't always list it as one because they don't like it it's the same with AKC.

This is an american alsatian the UKC may not consider this breed and AKC may not even have it listed as one i don't know i haven't checked but this doesn't resemble a german shepard to me how can they rename an entirely different dog breed that has clear defining traits as seperate breed as the german when this isn't even close to german shepard the UKC isn't really smart.

I'm not speaking of the Dire Wolf Project which is how the American Alsatian came ( a cross breed of GSD, Malamute, Pyrenean and two others )
http://m.dogbreedinfo.com/?url=http%3A% ... n.htm#2750

I'm speaking of the British Alsatian which is a GSD.
