Aden sighed, slowly standing up. "Come on- we have to go to English." he muttered sullenly, offering his hand to Saffron. "I think I'll be okay, though. Thanks for everything you've been doing for me."

Saffron took his hand, standing up. "Just so you know, I don't think you're a wimp. And you're quite welcome," She finished, grinning happily at him. "Let's go to English, otherwise known as my least favourite class."

"Why? I thought you liked reading." He replied as they walked toward fourth period.

As students started to really come in, he sent the marker flying again, writing the phrase Sit Anywhere under his name. "Wherever you do sit, take the book. We'll be using these myths a lot this fall, although we will also be reading Grendel and Dracula. I won't require you to read every myth in those books, but you may if you wish."

As Mr. Brashear spoke, Lina stiffly walked over to sit near Rebecca. She was surprised to hear the slight Scottish accent as he spoke, but shrugged it away. He spoke English and seemed nice enough.

I see Lina sit next to me and I say "hey." I hadn't talked to her since breakfast this morning. "Still exhasusted from what you did in third period? That was pretty amazing."

"I do, it's just I don't like writing essays. I'm much more into creative writing and stuff. I also don't really like Socratic Seminars and the like," Saffron explained, doing as Mr. Brashear told them to. She sat down near another open desk so that she could sit near Aden.

Cameron stepped in and heard Mr. Brashear speaking. She grabbed her own book before listening to him speak. "Are you Scottish?" She asked him curiously. "I'm Irish myself," she explained (even though it was kind of unnecessary, she did have the Irish accent, after all).

Lina grinned and nodded. "I hadn't actually tried it with anything bigger than a football before." she admitted. "I didn't know I would get so tired after just a few seconds." She chuckled, and then clutched her belly as her muscles protested. "I think I'll feel better after lunch, or maybe tomorrow morning."

Mr. Brashear nodded with a smile. "My accent's been corrupted by living here." he admitted. "But my family lived in Scotland for a long time, even though we're historically french." he chuckled. "We never really held with tradition."

Aden nodded, sitting next to her and starting to absently page through the book on his desk. "Talking's hard." he agreed. "But I find nonfiction relatively easy to right, given that you only have to use information other people give you- you don't have to make anything up."

"I lived in Ireland until I was twelve, then moved here. My accent's been corrupted too, but it hasn't been too long, so it's not that corrupted," Cameron said with a grin, sitting down. And it was back then Jess was fine.

"True, but then you have to worry about citations and making sure you're not plagiarizing it, and, and, and," Saffron said, exasperated. "That's what really annoys me, I guess. I normally just sit down and type, that part's the easy one. I'm able to get good ideas, but getting useful sources is also hard, I think..."

I sat down in the desk behind Rebecca after grabbing a book "is English class going to be dull or is this teacher fun" I whisper in Rebecca's ear "I still want to try freezing one of your flames" I told her still whispering in to her ear then I leaned back in my seat and watched the teacher I hoped he wasn't horribly boring

Aden nodded. "I can see that. That's not my favorite part either, but I always feel satisfied when it's done, because it feels right. Organized. Y'know what I mean?"

Mr. Brashear-Aquarius-Tagged: English class
Mr. Brashear finally took his feet down from his desk and stood, meandering to the front of the class. "Good morning." he announced. "As you can see from the board, by name is Mr. Brashear, and I'm your new English teacher. Now, I'm terrible with names, so forgive me if I forget a lot. Anyway, welcome to English. By Friday, I want you to read the relatively short epic of Beowulf, as they will be highly relevant during our reading of Grendel." The marker made a note of what he said on one side of the board. "However, if you feel that you are disinterested in reading the entire myth- a mere five chapters- I will tell you now that while the book Grendel strictly only parallels the first few chapters, symbolism and meaning will be lost on you when we read Grendel if you do not read the whole myth. Any questions? No question is stupid, by the way. You will learn that no detail can be truly overlooked in this class, or the meaning of the whole cannot be properly understood."

Rebecca-Fire Elemental-Talking to: Lina, Kailen

"Well the teacher definitely seemed impressed," I whisper to her. Then, I turn around in my chair so I am facing Kailen. "I don't know what I hate more, science or english. Maybe after this then we can experiment freezing flames during lunch." I say also whispering so that the teacher doesn't hear me. I really wanted to see what would happen. As I listen to the teacher I have not one clue of what he is saying, so I smile and act like I understand.
