Though he was seldom nervous, he blushed briefly as she spoke, feeling very flattered. He quickly looked upwards to hide his flushed cheeks, before it passed. He smiled shyly as he approached the pub. "Mainstreet pub," he said. "This must be the one." As he approached, a man opened the door for him, and he smoothly walked in. "Well," he said. "We're here." He grinned at Augustine, and gently set her down, offering his hand for balance.

She looked at the elevator with certain interest. It was rather convenient to have, as they didn't have to walk up the countless hotel steps to get to her room on the 4th floor. Walking wasn't such a bad thing, but elevators were better. Alexis turned her head partway towards the boy as he spoke. "I saw the sign while I was walking down the street; so I thought, 'why not'? After all, this is a unique hotel, like you said."e, considering as response."
His next question threw her a little bit, and Alexis paused before replying. She did live in a mansion - well, at one point. Maddie and she had lived in the lap of luxury, born with a silver spoon in their mouths, as the sayings go. Of course, the government ruined that the moment they stepped inside to inquire after the presence of shifters. She had fled, leaving their beautiful house to burn, and Maddie with it. That was seven years ago. Doing her best to keep her fury and sorrow from her face, Alexis shrugged. "I don't, really. My uncle is rather wealthy, and he lives a while away from here. He offered to lend me money to go on a vacation and I chose here. After all, it's got an elevator!" She offered another tight smile, hoping he wouldn't question her further.

He nodded. She seemed tence, like she was hiding something. The elevator stopped and they got out. He walked her to room 413 and unlocked it. "here's your key." he said handing it to her. "And heres your room. Would you like some room service?"

She takes his hand for support, and sits in one of the stools, and orders some feedwater. "Would you like some feedwater as well?" She asked smiling. Augustine knew she would be in so much trouble when she got home the next day, but she honestly didn't care. "So tell me about you." She said when she got situated into her seat, before adding, "You seem like a very interesting person..." Augustine always loved listening to other people, and hated talking herself it was a very strange characteristic of her, but she didn't mind.(That was a huge run on but oh well I am half asleep) Augustine smiled trying to not droll over William, because that would be blandly obvious that she had a huge crush on him. She took a sip of her feedwater waiting for his response.

"Of course, I'll take one." William responded with a smile. He listened to her, wholeheartedly. "Me?" he responded, when she had asked him about himself. "I fear that I'm not as interesting as you think." He took a moment of consideration. "I suppose I'll go on anyway. Well, I come from a working class family, high middle class, no real reputation(good or bad), so I've decided to create a nice one for my family. I found that the best way for me to earn that respect was through becoming an official. It was a job that my father always romanticized, I suppose. He was an official when he was young like me, before the knowledge of shifters. He thought it would be a suitable profession for me. He spoke of how it would help the people. I was always idealistic, so it had always been my "dream job", as one could put it. Well, it's not exactly how I thought it would be. Most of the time, it feels right. Dealing with muggers and crooks. Perhaps some day a violent shifter. But, every now and then, it feels wrong, you know? I run into some woman stealing food, and watch as she brings it to hungry children. Such things make me feel so torn. I understand that the government doesn't understand the life of the lower class, but I have still sworn my loyalty. I'm a man of my word, and I don't go back on it. Still, I prefer to give warnings, not to ticket. I have the money, so sometimes I buy the food. There's a few families among the streets that I bring things to every now and then. One man feeding the whole world... that's kind of pathetic isn't it? It's not the way the world works, but there's no sense in not trying."

He sighed. "I can't believe how I just speak to you," he said. "I've never really talked about my feelings on it before. Imagine if Kaleb heard me... he'd think me a fool, a traitor. He wouldn't understand... Well, we've both had our share of secrets today." He leaned towards Augustine, with a big grin. "Don't tell." He whispered with a lighthearted tone.

Augustine listened to him talk on and on. She smiled and said, "I won't tell if you don't tell that I did this." She kissed William softly then pulled away blushing. She never broke a promise, so he could trust her with everything he had told her. Augustine finished off her feedwater, ordering another round although it wasn't exactly the best idea in the world. All the really wanted was to sit and talk with William for a little bit longer. She did know that is wasn't exactly lady like to kiss a guy, it was the guys duty to kiss the girl, but she just felt like she could break this rule since it was never really followed.

William was surprised with her kiss, but he couldn't deny that he liked it. Ladies usually never initiated, or so William thought, but it made him like Augustine even more. Before the next round of feedwater came, William took Augustine's hand into his own. "Lady Augustine," he said. "It has truly been delightful to meet you, and very much unexpected. You're so charming to me. Your independent nature and your sense of adventure. The way your blonde hair falls about your face." He smiled brightly. "I just love talking to you."

She blushed as he said all of the things he was saying. "I love talking to you as well, William," she said smiling. His hand was warm in hers, she didn't even notice the bartender bring the feedwater. Her face grew hot, when he started talking about her hair falling in front of her face. Augustine wanted to say more, but was to breath taken to say anything else. When she actually got the courage to say something all she could say was, "Well after this, we should get headed to the hotel, it's not safe for a little lady like me to be out in the dark dangerous world at night." She giggles when she realized that she had quoted her father, before adding,"Don't you agree?" Augustine got a drink of her feedwater with her free hand.

William nodded and smiled. He was very obviously flattered. "Of course," he said. "There's one nearby, just along Mainstreet. It shouldn't be far at all. I can't say that I've ever stayed there, but it seems pretty nice." He took a swig of his drink, and checked his pocket watch. "It will be pretty late soon. We'll probably want to head out while there's still the main crowd. The people get weirder the later it is."

She giggled and hopped down from the stool, and placed her arm through his. "Are you gonna stay there with me, so I don't get scared?" Augustine was absolutely terrified of being in public places alone over long periods of time. She tipped the bartender for her drinks, then looked up at William due to the fact he was taller than her by 6 whole inches. She felt safe around William, although she barely knew him, she felt like she knew everything about him.
