I heard it gives some people headaches to read in black with crazy colors flying every where and hard to concentrate, so i am writing in blue c:
I have all ways wondered what do these words look like to some of you:
My dogs name: Pearl
My cats name: Eloise
My little cousins name: Bentley
And the holiday: Christmas
Thank you
~weezer *sprinkles magic all over everything*

Oohhh!! What book?
Okay, so pearl is a delicate, light salmon.
Eloise is a mint green with a tinge of violet at the end.
Bentley is a solid brown with a slight twinge of blue at the 't'.
Christmas is a mainly blue word with interruptions of red and orange.

For me jackle is a light orange with a tint like this
and jacklyn is more light and playful, more like a seafoam green like this

Jackle is a violet with light green at the end.
Jacklyn is a violet interrupted by yellow around the 'y'.

What are these names to you guys:
Bailey A brown base, interrupted by green and yellow at the end.
Sarah A solid purple throughout.
Hannah A burnt orange with hints of brown.

I have synesthesia! Words, letters, and numbers are all different colors and textures to me. Some of the most prominent ones are the days of the week, which look like this:

Sunday
Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday
Saturday

I also have something which is sort of like a physical synesthesia (mental synesthesia is when the nerves that keep your senses straight overlap, causing people to hear or taste things when they see or read something, etc.). Whenever I put my left hand in running water, I hear and feel a rapid fluttering in my right ear. If my hand is just barely touching the running water, it's a very small fluttering. I think some of my nerves dealing with physical touch must have crossed to cause that.

that's awesome! (and I hope you don't mind but I want to quote you on the topic page) I have some listening/feeling things too, but not many. when my chorus teacher taps his foot on the carpet, I feel like I am holding a smooth, round, ball in my right hand, and for some reason it feels blue. so weird. cx

That's awesome! I don't really dream in colors (weird, right?) but I once had a dream that the letter 'f' changed color from teal blue to this almost salmon color. That was SO CONFUSING!

I kinda want to ask my lucid dreamers thread if any of them have synesthesia.... XD I guess my brain is just swirled all over the place.

I have synesthesia. I'm glad there's a thread about it! OuO
I'm not really sure what type I have.... for me, letters have color, and so do periods of time. (Kind of strange, I know.. it's hard to explain. :S)

'Synesthesia' is pale orange for me. :D
Under construction :U

Hi there! I have sound to sight synesthesia, and I thought I'd share c:
Here are the colors I see weeks, months, and western zodacs:

    Monday
    Tuesday
    Wednesday
    Thursday
    Friday
    Saturday
    Sunday
    .
    .
    .
    .

    .
    January
    February
    March
    April
    May
    June
    July
    August
    September
    October
    November
    December
    Aries
    Taurus
    Gemini
    Cancer
    Leo
    Virgo
    Libra
    Scorpio
    Sagittarius
    Capricorn
    Aquarius
    Pisces

Not all of them are as pretty as the week days x]
I actually have a question for all of you others as well

Have you ever projected? And if you have, what caused it and what color was it?
[In case you don't know, projection is when you actually see the color in front of your eyes like it's really there. This happens most often when you get started.]

This has happened to meeee... Four times, I believe.
The first time I was legitimately freaked out [mostly because I was half asleep]. I was falling asleep while on the phone with someone and they started talking again and it startled me away, so I saw a flash of orange.
One time I was in the basement and I heard something drag across the floor upstairs that scared me as well. It was white.
Twice I was woken up by the house creaking, and both times I saw purple.

Have you ever projected? And if you have, what caused it and what color was it?
Three times.
1. The teacher yelled "STOP!" really loudly and green completely covered my vision.
2. Once during an MRI the sounds had vivid colour and even developed personalities.
3. During a concert, a guy played dubstep on the drums and the colours clouded my vision. It was awesome.

And sometimes, if I focus quite hard, I do see reoccuring colours of sounds. Like the humming of an air conditioner is purple and an engine revving is a bright red.

I've found that I can find four-leaf-clovers insanely easily. People think I'm magical or something. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with synesthesia, but I don't know. Can you guys find things well?

yeah, the reoccurring sound thing happens to me quite a bit >.<

now that you mention it, I do find those letter games particularly easy (like find the n in the m's)
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmnmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
...I can also write things with both hands at the same time, mirroring each other.
Apparently that's common among synthetes.
