"hum?" I say snapping back to reality and look at the boy from before. Who was now holding a cake, I can't help but smile a little. Personally I'm not for cake but the injured boy seemed happy about it.

"What's cake?" I ask, feeling silly about the question. Everyone else seems to know what it is, but apparently not everyone has had it before. I listen carefully to the Ngozi and Kotsi, making sure they're not too close. "Wait" I say, "Where's Cora?" I ask, realizing she had left the bunker.

Cora walked around the outside of the Queen's palace, searching for an entrace. She had walked about five meters or so, when she felt the metal in her pack shift slightly, like it was being pulled towards the wall. Good, that meant she had found what she was looking for. Instead of continuing to walk around and find the door, Cora simply reconstructed her arm cannon and blasted through the wall. Alarms went off, echoing across the ruins, but she didn't care. Stepping through the hole she'd made, Cora quickly walked to the MRI machine that awaited on the other side and placed her hand against it. Her hair glowed, and the machine fell apart, leaving only a skeleton and a large ring of Neodymium. It was a bit bigger than she had expected, she'd need something to carry it. A short moment later, she'd constructed a hovertrolley using the parts from the MRI and her pack. Cora walked back out through her hole, the alarms from the fortress still blaring away.

Ki shook her head at the offer. "I dont eat sweets." she replied. "And where's Taegen?" Ki asked as she put away equipment with her one arm. After packing it quickly away, she scrambled away and leaned against one of the walls.

Taegen had wandered back to the room with the bunks, where he had put his pack, to grab a change of clothes. He changed into dark jeans and a black sweatshirt. He got lost again and was wandering when he finally heard voices. He walked into the room and saw the... Chaos... in the room. He dropped his pack and looked around, "Wait? What?" He said, shocked

Devin

Devin explored for a little before calling Adrasteia back to her. She went back to the tunnel, feeling refreshed. She tried to open the tunnel but failed. She cringed and sat by where she thought the door to the tunnel was. Adrasteia took a defensive position in front of her and Devin pulled a small knife from her boots. She'd been in a position like this before and she'd been surprised before.

((Neat. Advent Children wasn't a very good movie but it had some cool scenes and the animation was nice.))

I set the cake down in front of the boy, since he seemed like the only one who was really excited about this new food. Bend with your knees not with your back, I thought, as the effort of sitting down on the floor caused another quick jolt of pain. I was somewhat surprised that no one had made a note of my injuries, but also glad at the same time. I didn't need anyone to dote on me. I set a couple of forks by the cake, in case the others wanted a taste. “Cake is...” I thought aloud, trying to answer their questions, “ Cake is something you don't describe; you taste. And believe me, cake is delicious.” I dug my fork into the cake and shoveled out a mouthful. It was wonderfully cool, moist and chocolaty. “Try it.” I said, handing the boy a fork after I had finished savoring my bite of cake. I realized I didn't know his name, so I added, “By the way, what's your name? I'm Conner.”

Sitting there, Chexie listened to everyone around him. He could tell where they all were by the sounds made, but he had no chance of seeing them.... He swayed a little, letting his dizzy mind wonder about the cake, he was glad he could get to try some. He remembers looking in at run down shops as young child, staring at their soft sweetness. He can smell it now, and it smelled so sweet and delicious; Almost helping him forget the pain in his leg. Then he heard the man sit beside him and felt his breeze; he could smell cake and blood along with it. Some concerned reached his face. Had he gotten all of these people terribly hurt? Guilt suddenly sprung up in his stomach, these people seemed so nice and yet he brought misfortune upon them. He will repay them for their kindness somehow.... Suddenly he heard the man talk to him, forcing him to lift his heavy head. He couldnt see anything but a large blob for what he guessed was the man. He couldnt even see the fork being handed right to him, so he never took it. "Oh," he slurd, "My name is Checkers Williamson, but I go by Chexie for short." He smiled at the man, he felt like he would get along nicely with... Conner, is what the man said. They both had a nice appetites and Conner seemed pretty positive.

Ki watched Taegen enter the room, his expression was of pure shock. She went to wave him over but fell asleep on the dot. Cradeling the bleeding right half of her arm and side.

I watch everybody every around the room talk. The injured boy name was Chexie and the other boy's name was Conner. I notice another boy walking in the door, with I can only assume name is Taegan. I hear a thud and notice Ki on the floor, again. Is this is common occurrence? My eye go back Tagean careful watching his movements in case he tried to shoot, stab me or attack me with some strange mystical power.

Taegen noticed Ki and ran over to her, fearing the worst. When he saw that she was just sleeping he heaved a sigh of relief before kneeling next to the girl. He noticed the red and checked her wounds. "Is there a medical kit?" He asked calmly. There was a time and a place for the panic that showed in his eyes but now was not it. He Took off his shirt and held it against the still bleeding wound and tried to get Ki to wake up, "Ki, Ki" He said, gently patting the girl's face.
