STRAIGHT down!?!? What did this girl have? A death wish? I stared at where Max had disappeared over the edge of the roof. I stood there a minute before I made up my mind. I walked over to about where Max had stood, closed my eyes, and stepped over the edge of the building. I couldn't help the cry that escaped me as I fell. I gasped as the breath got knocked out of me and I felt myself land on something.
