I like the background even better than the deadpool one from before. The simple colors do well.
I don't think you should have that border in front of the knee though. Click here.

The easiest way that I know of for rounding corners on only one side is as follows

1) put a large transparent background down in OIE (like it explains in the tutorial)

2) overlay the gif along the side that you want rounded.

3) Crop the image so that there is extra transparent-background on the side that you don't want rounded. (Also make sure to crop the bottom so that you only have extra space on one side)

4) Round it and crop it down to just your image c:

This is what I use and it works pretty good. If you need a better description on that, you can PM me ;w;

I don't personally have a good colour scheme in mind but I can direct you to a some sites that I have found quite useful. c:

1. With this site you can create your own palette or see what other people have created.
2. I quite like this one. Using a colour wheel it picks colours that suit. There are other modes and buttons you can press that do other things but I haven't explored them fully...

Usually, you have to redo the overlay. Try saving the files under different names, and then redoing the overlay.

This post is really helpful yo!!! Also, I use THISsite for online image editing. It can let you resize & play with photos of any format. Even GIF. You do have to have a spot to re-upload to. A side tumblr would be best, and you can credit the owner there.
