Kay's eyes searched for a place to hide, her eyes scanning the forest. "There's a burrow in the ground by the big tree!" She told him, a giant oak tree with a hidden burrow in the roots. The girl knew that it was empty due to the lack of smell around it.

"Alright, hold on!" Zero said, folding his wings around The both of them and diving towards the burrow. They landed in a shower of dirt and dead tree bits.

Kat coughed, her head hitting the floor causing her to groan. "Ouch." She muttered, her head pounding. The hybrid had already been injured by the erasers so she was not in the best conditions. An ear twitch from her indicated that she was in pain although her eyes were closed.

Zero recovered from the rough landing almost instantly, scrambling inside the hole and pulling Kat after him. "The others are on their way," he said, not daring to raise his voice above a whisper. "We'll be alright, just hold on"

Kat nodded, her eyes in a wince, the pain rushing through her head. "Did you find Day?" She asked softly, her ears lowered to her head, her voice heardly audible. The hybrid's tail moved slightly, her eye's closing.

"No, I didn't," Zero said, looking out of the hole of the burrow," But I'm going to have words with her when I do. Just rest for now, though, save your strength."

"M'kay..." Kat replied softly, leaning her head on Zero's shoulder, her eyes closing. The girl's ear was still bleeding from the eraser and she had several scratches on her face, arms and legs as well as her stomach. Sadly, Kat had almost as much bruises as cuts.
