Copeland coughed and cleared her throat at his fathers next statement. She felt her ears get warm and she knew her face was red. When his mother entered the room she smiled at her. Copeland was a bit thirsty but she wouldnt ask her to get anything for her "No maam, thank you though." She said and looked at the tray of snacks. Cope grabbed a cookie and ate it slowly. She swallowed "How do you put up with Brice Mr. and Mrs. Tang?" she asked and chuckled

Chaojian reached for a slice of fruit and laughed at her question, but his wife cut in to answer first.

"We don't." She said as she moved to her seat. "...Well, I don't. I send him straight to his father." She chuckled.

"And when she sends him to me, I send him out to his friends." The two adults seemed to join in mutual laughter until it died down.

Brice only hiked an eyebrow at his parents then looked at Copeland. "I'm a great son. I don't know what you're talking about." He poked his tongue out at her playfully. He then glanced at the time. "Ah - it's getting late. I should go get dressed. You guys, uh, have fun." He flashed Copeland a mischievous smile before moving from the back of the sofa and heading for the stairs. "I'll be back shortly."

There was silence and Chaojian took another slice of fruit and bit from it. He seemed to concentrate on the tray in front of him as he spoke, organizing his thoughts. "...You really like him, don't you?" He then looked up at her.

Copeland laughed when they did, his parents were fun and she was glad she met them. She pulled the front of her skirt down some. When his father asked her that very important question, Copeland thought for a couple seconds "I do like Brice a lot. He is a great guy and he understands me and he is patient with me." She said and smiled at the both of them. She wasnt going to go into great detail about her feelings for him because she didnt know all of her feelings for him. Copeland ate the rest of her cookie and put her hands on her knees.

Chaojian nodded and Eileen just seemed to listen attentively.

"What do your parents think of him?" Eileen chimed.

"--And tell us about you after that. No one cares about Brice." Chaojian said playfully as he waved a hand.

Meanwhile, Brice had made it upstairs and sighed relief. "Jeez...come on, A-pah... What are you doing?" He muttered as he recalled the embarrassment. He then began going through his closet and drawers and pulling out the clothes he planned to wear.

Copeland chuckled "Well, my parents like him, my dad thinks that him and Brice are bestfriends because my dad dated a Taiwanese woman for two months so he thinks they will bond over that." She said rollin her eyes at her fathers goofiness. She thought what about to tell them about herself "I was born in California but my mom... Ugh... She didnt want me so she gave me up for adoption but i was tossed around from family to family and then i was adopted when i was five." she said looking up at the ceiling trying to find the right words. "Im Puerto Rican and Hispanic" she added and smiled at the both of them again "Thats pretty much it." She said and chuckled again

Chaojian laughed at her first few words and even the way she seemed to respond to them. Though, both parents' faces seemed to fade into seriousness and concern. She seemed to talk about it easily, though, so it must not have been as much of a bother as they felt it would be.

Over in her seat, Eileen just nodded slowly, continually. "Have you...told Brice all these things?" She inquired.

Copeland chewed the inside of her cheek when their faces turned serious. She probably said to much but oh well, she couldnt un-say it. When his mother asked if she told Brice Cope shook her head "No... I just dont want him to feel like its his duty to fix me. I dont want him to see me as broken or treat me differently because i had a rough childhood." She said quietly but still audible and looked down at her hands. They would probably tell him and he would probably ask questions, questions she didnt want to answer. She hoped he would come back soon so it wouldnt get awkward.

Eileen nodded and Chaojian sort of shifted in his seat before breaking the silence. "Well, Copeland," he started as he stood, "you're a nice girl and it was nice to get to meet you. I'm sorry my son is a pretty boy." He said in reference to how long it was taking Brice and chuckled. "It was a pleasure to have you in our home and I hope you feel welcome to return soon."

Eileen stood as well, flashing Copeland a sweet smile before she went into the kitchen to take care of the dishes.

"...In the meantime," Chaojian continued, "you can enjoy yourself some television or look around." He grabbed the remote and placed it beside the tray of treats before giving another nod of his head as a parting bow, then making his exit.

Copeland watched them as they left. She sprang to her feet then swiftly walked up the stairs. She didnt know what room was his but she was going to find it. She knocked on a door and when no one answered she moved to another one and knocked on it "Brice!" She whispere yelled and listened closely trying to hear if he was in there

Brice heard knocks in the hall and hiked an eyebrow before he heard knocks on his and a familiar voice. "Enter at your own risk!" He called with a smirk, holding back chuckles. "I'm not responsible for any psychological damage!" He reached onto his bed for his pants and slipped them on, not bothering to fasten them just yet. He then moved to the dresser, grabbing a bottle of cologne from its top to spray on, getting his chest and pressure points.
