I think that it's in large part because ThunderClan sticks its nose in everyone else's business.
Unless it directly involves your Clan, Firestar, you shouldn't get into it, just as a general rule. I mean, when WindClan got chased off, that wasn't really a problem, because of the whole 'we need four Clans to have balance' thing. Otherwise, though, it's not good for keeping your warriors' loyalty. Which he did somehow anyway.

It's also probably to do with the fact that ThunderClan is our main Clan; we don't have protagonists that aren't in ThunderClan. I think the series would have gone in a far different direction, and probably would have been way more interesting, if the 'important' cats weren't all in ThunderClan (excluding the cats who had to find the sun-drown place and the beavers).

Agreed with everything said on here about Snowkit.
He was a fascinating little guy, and I'm certain he would've had quite the personality had the Erins actually made an effort to turn him into a character, not just a drama device meant to be discarded for the plot and nothing else.

Jayfeather, too, had potential, but it seems like he just became a blind cat for the sake of being blind??? I dunno. /endrant

He was blind for the plot and his powers seem even better when hes blind.
And snowkit...I was betting big for him. He had SO. MUCH. POTENTIAL.

Hello and welcome to Fluttershy! Whitestorm was actually a pretty cool character, which is why he was killed off so suddenly. The Hutners don't ever want you to get to see awesome characters succeed for long.
