@anchor your writing is really good so far! the one thing I would suggest just as sort of a challenge is to try and vary your phrase/structure usage. what I've been noticing is that you tend to use similar structures and phrases, which isn't bad because the ideas and the conventions are still there for the most part, but it would make your writing more interesting and fun to read if you mixed things up. so after you make a post, go through and check it to see if you can reword any phrases that sound too repetitive.

ah, markis. this fellow is possibly one of the most well-mannered you will ever meet, especially if comparing him to other young men his age. he is polite to everyone he meets, even if that person happens to be an elf. unlike his mother, he has no quarrel with the elves, despite the fact that he now bears quite the noticeable limp from one of his previous experiences with them. his left femur had been completely shattered in the incident, and it had never completely healed. it fails to faze him, however, as does every other negative thing he has dealt with. he is well aware of the fact that he has no authority over his mother, and cannot change her opinion of the elves. but that doesn't mean he could not potentially influence the guards ...

GUYS. I'm sooooo sorry I've been inactive -cries forever-

I've had finals this week, and I just do not have the time. I promise I will post tomorrow afternoon; I only have two finals left, English and Chemistry. After that, I get a week or so of free time before I start with all of this crazy bassoon stuff. But no more finals until June, so yay!
