I'll try to get a picture later tonight. They're exploring their cage again right now.

Since his balls JUST started dropping today, and with some research, that puts him (and Zander) at around 3 weeks, if the research is correct. So they wouldn't be sexually mature yet.

They are not 3 weeks I don't think, based on the pics.

Balls will sometimes drop late. I've heard of them not dropping until 8+ weeks

The pictures do tend to kind of blow them up in size... They're about the size of a gerbil right now, Zander and Black Bear are a little bit smaller than a gerbil.

I still don't think they are 3 weeks. I'm not basing it all on size, mainly on the way the features look and everything.

Is it possible to tell how old they are? It would be nice to know!

They look closer to 5 weeks then 3 weeks. They can retain and hide their balls at their will, so just becouse you look and dont see them, dont mean they arent there....

I'd say 6-7 maybe even 8 weeks.

I dont see 8 weeks old, I say between 5 and 7 weeks. When the boys leave here at 5 weeks, they are usually just really dropping and showing boy parts.

They are from feeder bins right? It's possible they didn't get good nutrition making them smaller than the average breeder rat. I'm still thinking 6-8 weeks.

Voodoo- you let males go at 5 weeks? Every breeder I know (that's not a BYB) keeps them until closer to 8 weeks. Though they are of course seperated at 5 weeks.

That picture looks like Zander and Black Bear! Their tails are both really tiny, and so are they.
The other two are a lot bigger though, probably 7/8 weeks then, im guessing?

Yes, they are meant to be feeders.
