The good, depth stories get cut out by things like "This is a -stupid object.- not a diary!!!!!!!?!?!??!?!?!?!?" and the post are -- 1 : Oh ya This is my diary, I'm in a closest because the pops don't like me bcuz Ima too cull fur them. We are attzz wars! 2: OmGG we need to rescue blablaha!"

I know, they are so repetitive. Plots set in American High Schools always irk me for some reason (unless they're extremely well written, which most of them aren't). Once you have read one, you've read them all.

Ah I've been inactive on this thread for a while. However, after a seemingly relentless period of writer's block, I have regained my inspiration and am currently working on a nameless novel concerning some ideas that have been swirling about in my head for some time.
I'm not going to reveal much, as the focus in which the plot revolves around is quite unique and I wish not for my ideas to be stolen.

I have just a question:
What length do you think is suitable for a chapter? Give this in word count please.
I myself would say around 2000 words, of course variance it perfectly acceptable. But how about you?

Well, I'd say it depends on the type of book. But if it is a semi-realistic fiction, like I'm guessing yours is, then yes, around 2000 words. Maybe a little less, maybe a little more. I'd say 1800-2500 words per chapter.

Most of mine are around 2,000 words, give or take a few. In other words, about three pages on Word.

Im not sure why they're so popular, but I deciede to start one anyway. It's just a different form of writing. Maybe it's a bit abstract, but I enjoy writing from my character's perspective and I make sure that I have in-depth paragraphs once and awhile.

If you wish to start one because you enjoy it, I fully support you. My contempt is directed towards those who simply wrote something in a certain manner because it is popular.
