I, personally, like the stripes. Even though they make the cat look like they've been... grilled/barbecued. I don't know why, they just kind of add the charm to the kitty.

I thought it was cute, really. I mean, unreal is fine. Nobody gets all... annoyed... at the horses being pink, but a bunch of people get annoyed over less-than-photo-real stripes on an adorable cat? Accept it for what it is, and wait for the next growth.

What I can't believe is that my post was the only one deleted, when all I said was that I didn't like the stripe/long fur combo, yet the 'disappointed' people can say as they please. Personally, I have to agree with the people noting that they do not have to look real to be pretty. I have no problem with the way the stripes themselves look, but I would have liked them a bit more on the shorthaired line because I have a weakness for shortfurred kittehs.

People are seriously complaining about the stripes not being realistic? Almost none of the pets on this entire site have realistic markings, but all of a sudden a pet comes out that has moderately realistic colors and everyone expects the stripes to be drawn from life?
What about this cat?

Nobody complained about those stripes when it came out, and they're almost exactly the same.

Nobody complained about those stripes when it came out, and they're almost exactly the same.

I like the way the cat looks, getting that out now.

I think what people have a problem with, is that the whole cat is really well blended and photo-like.
And then the stripes kinda look like they were 'painted on' in a way. You see what I'm saying?

Either way, I have insta-love for long hair<3

I can see where they're coming from. The teal cat looked completely unrealistic from birth, so we just automatically accepted that the way it was, while the realistic cats look.... odd... with random markings.



The last one looks like a sorbet horse.... Anyway, does anyone know what flowers they're based off of? Or are they just flower-ish?

I'm sorry, but how is the orange one flowerish? I can see the last one being like pollen or a petal with spots such as a tigerlilly, but the orange one I simply cannot figure out.

well to be completely honest the last one instantly reminded me of gel washing detergent, so that's what I named it after.

I hadn't read more than a page or so back, but I see what you're saying. I assumed they were talking about the spacing and width of the stripes, not the softness of the edges.
I'm all for stating your opinion but it's crossing the line when people are saying things like "you've got to be kidding" and "ugh, that looks so fake".
