People seem to enjoy writing diary-type stories, and such a name boosts the chances of people reading the story, due to the fad already existing. Alternatively, they just can't think of any title and it's an easy way out. I think. That's the main reason I chose the title of mine.

For readers, it gives a clear label to what the story is - not much of the plot, true, but the genre and writing style. It's almost confirmed to be a comedy if the title is used, and a diary involving CS pets so they can visualise the scenes.

You can also just say people liked the original and decided there can never be too many. Kind of like how many new games Minecraft spawned.

I used to dislike diaries, but when I started reading them honestly they were very creative! Sadly I have writers block in everything I do, so I don't know if I'll even try to write an entire paragraph of my soontobe diary, without deleting it or regretting posting it (I actually DID try, whenever I made a full paragraph I seem to hate it instantly) unfortunately.
