Salmonfall watched in horror, was her sister really so selfish that she'd give her life for a chunk of land?

Cougarpelt trotted over to the scene, seeing as Foxcloud was at a loss for words. "Hello, madam. I am Cougarpelt. Please forgive us for our trespassings. Would my lady be so kind as to allow us to rest on her territory until we may find refuge elsewhere, as our land is flooded?"

Graystream remained silent for a moment or two before meowing, "I had a talk with Dreampaw."

Beechpaw snorted and paced around Hibiscus, examining her limp body.

Copperberry narrowed her eyes at the unfamiliar tom known as Cougarpelt. She took a threatening step towards him but said nothing.

Snowfoot saw the fight and stared at hibiscus. she Snarled her teeth gleaming white and her eyes pure with fire of rage and anger. she circled Hibiscus a few times pounced on hibiscus. she bit the back of the cats neck as hard as she could.

Shallowcreek frowned before closing her eyes. "She's upset, huh?"

"Snowfoot!" Foxcloud gasped. "Don't be stupid, stop at once!"

Hibiscus went limp, her breathing turning ragged before her flank stopped heaving completely.

Salmonfall faced Snowfoot angrily. "How could you? You foxhearted killer." She snapped with such ferocity that the usually laid back she-cat had shocked herself. "She was about to die before YOU decided you had to have the last blow. And with a move only rogues and loners use for a killing bite." She hissed, tail lashing as she glared at her clanmate through narrowed eyes.

Clifftail stared at Cougarpelt curiously.
