Sophie let her tray of food clatter onto the table as she unceremoniously dropped it into place. Giving a quick flick of a stray dull brunette lock out of her face, she dropped into her seat with a sigh, her large mid-hued blue eyes half-lidded and bored. Snagging up a rather plump bread bun, she took a large bite out of it then immediately felt self-conscious. She was not a small girl, rather the opposite, in fact; she was plump and cushioney, an adoration for sweets and food helping her gain bigger curves then most girls her age. And just like in human society, it wasn't that looked up to in the Bogey World. Giving a slight sniff, she yanked the bottom of her shirt down, trying to hide her marshmallow belly a bit more.

Jamming the rest of the bread roll into her mouth, her cheeks puffed out like an odd chipmunk as they were filled with wheaty goodness. Reaching up she jammed her glasses a bit further up her nose, her eyes skirted around the chattering cafeteria; her need of the glasses were a slight annoyance at the worse of times. She had never had a problem with them and they now they fit like a second skin, but it was just another "losery" thing for people to see about her. She only needed them because her eyes were meant for underwater, not dry land. Giving a huff, she felt her mental feather ruffle at the thought of people disliking her because of something so stupid. She was snapped out of her own musings as she saw someone enter the cafeteria, swallowing the mouthful of bread, she quickly started waving, trying to catch their attention, "Yo! Over here!"

Kayley walked into the cafeteria, full of people. As always, she fought the urge to turn straight around, dash out the door, and find some nice little nook to curl up in. She always felt so awkward in her human form, tall and gawky. But now was not the place to change forms. She was already strange enough, and she didn't need them to have any more proof of that; plus, she was liable to hit someone with her large tail in such a busy place.

"Yo, over here!" a voice called. Kayley stood on her tip-toes, trying to locate the caller. Kayley realized it was Sophie, who was sitting and waving. Was she yelling to Kayley? She hoped, and danced on the tips of her toes before waving back for a second. She abruptly turned, just in case it was Sophie wasn't focusing on her. Lunch first, then bravery.

After quickly grabbing her food, she headed towards Sophie's table, trying to act cool and not realizing that she was occasionally dancing on her toes. It was a nervous habit of Kayley's. She plopped down diagonal to Sophie, just in case, and grinned.

((I wasn't sure whether the characters were supposed to be friends already or not. x3 So I just went sort of neutral.))

Trevor Be'hor
Trevor kept his head high as he entered the cafeteria, avoiding the urge to wring his fingers anxiously and pretending he didn't notice the rude looks many of the other bogeymen were directing at him. They weren't so different from humans socially it seemed- many of the rough and tumble jock boys with more muscle than brains felt the need to reassure themselves of their own manhood by picking on the clumsy gay boy. And of course the girls either held his sexuality against him-claiming typically that "all the good guys are either gay or taken"- or felt a creepy desire to become "best girlfriends" with him. He honestly couldn't decide what was worse half the time; one was outright rude and the other made him feel like a stereotypical toy.

A shout from across the cafeteria drew his attention, and Trevor's face immediately lit up when he saw who had made it. "Sophie,Kayley!Hi!" He waved back eagerly before hurrying over, nearly tripping over another student's backpack. After apologizing under their threatening glare he continued on until he was beside the girl's table and could drop his own pack in the chair at the head of the table, grinning. "Hey, guys. I'm gonna go grab some food then I'll be back in a jiffy, just give me a second." The red haired boy promised before darting away once more and seeming to materialize from the air barely five minutes later, sinking into a chair and dropping a tray laden with food onto the table with an audible "clunk!"

Max Reddin
It's just another day, nothing in my way.
I don't wanna go, I don't wanna stay, so there's nothing left to say.

Max yawned deliberately louder then necessary as he entered the cafeteria. His arms swept above his head as he stood in the doorway, as if putting emphasis on the eccentric clothes he had on. Bright greens, oranges, and yellows covered his body, from his shirt down to his shoe-laces and his smile was large as usual. Once done with his overly done yawn, he scanned the cafeteria, looking for the people he was normally around. Upon finding them, Max trotted up to the table as if in his bogey form, his hands in his pockets and his legs taking long strides. Max moved smoothly, surprising for such an awkward gate.

Once he reached the table he plopped down next to Trevor and winked at them all, clicking his tongue against the roof of his mouth. "What's the gang up to, hm?" His eyes looked down at their food and his raised a brow, "Oh. Right. We're in the cafeteria, duh." So Max stood and went to get food, whistling with his hands still in his pockets. He grabbed his tray, food, drink, the usual. Once at the end of the line, he made a big commotion of turning on one heel and trotting back to his table. "Hah, hah!" He threw a biscuit into the air and grinned, waiting a moment, before looking up and catching it in his mouth, "'Ow's 'at fer som'fin fanceh, mm?" Tearing the biscuit from his mouth and chew the food that was currently in his mouth, Max sat back down at the table and smiled at everyone in turn, "Anyways," he continued when his mouth wasn't full, "How's everyone doin'?"

Lija walked sullenly into the busy cafeteria. Her hands were jammed into the pockets of her black windbreaker and her hood was up. Walking up to the cafeteria counter she saw an array of various, delicious-smelling foods and realised how hungry she actually was. As she heaped her tray with bagels and cream cheese and grabbed a bowl of cereal she noticed Max, Trevor, Sophie and Kayley all seated at a table and she strolled over to them, a smile forming on her face.

"Hi guys! How's it going?" she said to them.

Trevor nearly chocked on the cinnamon roll he had just shoveled into his mouth, coughing and thumping his chest quickly before smiling awkwardly at Max and Lija. "Same old same old," He replied with a quick glance over his shoulder at the aforementioned idiot-jock types that flooded a table not far off. "I tripped over some pretty boy jerk's backpack. I think he put it there on purpose but whatever, at least they're not drowning my locker again." That had been bad-notes, books, supplies... everything, Trevor included, had been drenched. The red-haired boy quickly changed the subject, realizing he might have sounded self-pitying or otherwise bothersome. "What about you guys? Is everyone excited for this scare festival thing? It sounds really awesome, but I have no idea what to do about the whole partner thing. I hope Mr.Grimer doesn't stick me in with anybody really bad, we'd be awful." It was common knowledge the boy himself was -pardon the pun- frightfully awful at scares and ended up running in terror himself half the time.

.'.Sophie Hare.'.

"Yo', everyone!" Sophie said with a wave as the table quickly crowded with her friends. She gave an easy and welcoming smile as they all started chatting and eating. She couldn't help but focus on Trevor's whine, though."I'll try and drop a couple hints Mr Grimer's way, Trevor." She said with a kind smile as she watched the boy fidget. She had always been a bit of a teachers pet, her own sense of maturity and slight jaded sense of the world a keen match for their teachers. "Ooh! How cool would it be if we got paired up?! I can just imagine us sneaky around in the water ways. You could do some awesome ankle grabbing from down there, Trevor!" She chirped, trying to boost the boys confidence a bit more. "And as for those jerks? Screw 'em." She finished with a snicker as she popped a fried cricket into her mouth.

"Man," She started, casting a forlorn look down at her bowl of fried cricket, locus and grasshoppers, "I wish they'd bring back grubs, those things were delicious." She said with a despondent sigh, the cafeteria did fill her special diet very well; as an aquatic bogey she needed certain things in her diet. 'I wish there were more aquatic bogeys at this school, then I'd get what I needed.' she finished with a huff as she poked at her fried bowl of insects. "Would it kill them to have live fish?!"

"Hey, guys," Sophie inquired, trying to gain their attention, "where's Tisagu?" She mentioned with a furrowing of her eyebrows as she cast a look around for their missing member.

Kayley grinned to herself, glad to be accepted for another day. Not knowing quite what to say, she turned her smile to her friends and gave a little wave.

The scared festival, in fact, scared Kayley. Not the actual scaring part; that she was thrilled about, and absolutely looking forward to. No, it ws being paired with someone she didn't know, someone who would surely write her off as a dork if they hadn't already. She looked down at her soup, stirring it and bouncing her toes.

"Yeah, I hope I don't get paired with someone I don't know," she said out loud. She shrugged in response to Sophie's fish rant. Kayley would rather keep them as pets than eat them. "Yeah, where is he?" She craned her already-long neck around to see.
