He'd given up on pleasing Korra for now as he'd denied her affections, how could you possibly fall in love with someone you knew so little about? He liked her, but it wasn't love. "You'd think, being leader and all I'm built for resistance..."

Love simply gave a sly smirk back at the male, her eyes drifting upon him before she turned her body and stopped. "Yes... That is an admirable trait." She said calmly, her tail flicking behind herself as she did so. "But do you also resist love and the affections which others offer you?" She asked while stepping back toward the Drakeon.

He wasn't sure if this was the same eevee Static had just been with, she seemed to be pushing at something now. "If I felt something strong for someone, I would accept their feelings whether they returned love or rejected mine. If I only like someone and they confess, I wouldn't lie about my uncertainty."

Love sat down in her place and nodded her head while closing her eyes, "Yes, I agree. Giving a loved one happiness by giving them freedom from yourself is possibly the greatest thing you could do for them." She said while her tail brushed upon the scar on her back, before opening her eyes again then stood up to her paws and began walking back over to the side of the male.

"It's not always the wisest choice, considering you only expose yourself and them to further pain and disappointment... Dead is the hardest thing to cope with when it was someone close to you." Love was obviously thinking about something, he wasn't sure what was on her mind exactly but perhaps a past mate or crush.

Love sat back down beside the Drakeon before giving a quiet sigh, "Yes, I suppose. But if you give someone up because they would be happier with another... That is a great feat. As for the death part - if you give up your life to save a loved one's, it may bring them great sadness, but, many would agree that is better than them loosing their life as well." The Vaporeon replied.

Shakes his head, saying in a more light tone, "You know, you seem wise beyond your years. Is it experience or an old soul, if you don't mind me asking." He'd lived a fair amount of his life already, but he'd had such little love experience between the battles.

Love lowered her head slightly, closing her eyes while curling her tail around herself before saying, "I have experienced many hardships in my life, many of which have scarred me both emotionally and physically." Her tail fin gently ran across the scar on her stomach before falling gently to the floor, while she reopened her eyes.

"I see... I'm certain the future will be more welcoming than a cold past, even with recent events. We all have a place in this world, if you ended up here it must be for a reason." Attempting to be more positive, even if they were a dying pack. All of them would wake away one day as their nature intended.

Love looked over to the Drakeon with a straight face. "I suppose. I guess I'll need to find that reason then." She said as she uncurled her tail and allowed it to trail behind her. "What about you? Have you found your purpose for being here?" She asked with a flick of her ears.
