You have been taken, stripped from the only world you've ever known. The people you know, the storyline you've lived, your home; they are all gone,
and all you have left are the clothes on your back, perhaps a weapon or two,
and the knowledge that you are now trapped with a troop of strangers in this
unfamiliar place on the brink of destruction. How did you get here? How will
you return? Those are questions to be saved for later, because your lives are
all at risk and the only thing you can do now is survive.
▬▬▬
To summarize, due to some strange distortion in the fabrics of the universe,
characters from varying different fandoms have been stripped from their
worlds and land directly in a year-3035, apocalyptic Earth. Natural disasters
have occurred all over the globe, pollution has soiled the air, and the majority
of humanity has already been killed off due to a deadly epidemic. The characters
are evidently shocked and confused, but they must learn to accept their current
situation and work together in order to adapt to this new planet, while in the
meantime try to find a way to return to their homes.

i. General. All of Tess' rules apply. If you are new to this site or require some
reminders, you may find the site and forum rules here, the human/humanoid
roleplaying rules here, and the general semi-lit+ RPing rules here. Please keep
all roleplay-related discussion and forms on the discussion thread and RPing
on this thread. Let's keep this place negativity-free and sort out any arguments
or disagreements in PM (unless they require my knowledge). If you need any
clarification on anything, PM me.
ii. Literacy. I am aware that we all have different views on what 'literate RPing'
looks like, so I will not be specifying a post length. All I ask of you is that your
posts be well-written and informative with perfect spelling, syntax and grammar
(though typos are fine, as we're only human). Information on RP samples will
be addressed below:
iii. Forms and reservations. Before giving me a form or a reservation, I ask that
you please PM me a roleplay sample that accurately portrays your average post.
Once I give you the okay, feel free to reserve and give me forms all you want.
Please PM all forms and reservations! Reservations will last twenty-four hours
before being removed, unless you tell me that you'll need more time beforehand.
After you PM me your form and I give you the okay, post it on the discussion
thread.
iv. Characters. Evidently, as this is a multifandom roleplay, I will be allowing
characters from all fandoms, including books, movies, animes etc. This is a human
and humanoid roleplay, so the characters must be human/humanoid, as well. Please
keep the characters all 1P and non-nyo so this stays as straightforward as possible.
Also, use common sense when considering which character to RP; if you suspect that
your character is too perfect or too overpowered for this roleplay, chances are your
suspicions are correct. I will not be allowing any OCs, because otherwise this roleplay
will end up getting overly confusing. The maximum of characters is two, and let's try
to keep genders balanced, here. If you have questions regarding your character, PM me.
v. Romance. Keep all things CS-appropriate so this doesn't end up getting locked.
This is a predominantly action and adventure-themed roleplay, so romance will
not be the redeeming factor here, though I will be allowing it. Ships of any kind will
be allowed, provided that both roleplayers are fine with it. If you are not okay with
homosexual interactions or otherwise, I suggest you leave.
vi. Drama and violence. Again, keep all things CS-appropriate. Drama is
definitely encouraged (though not outside the RP), but please PM me or post on the
discussion thread if you want something drastic to happen; we don't want any surprises
now, do we? As for violence, it's definitely going to happen, but do not kill off other
peoples' characters unless you have their explicit permission to do so.
vii. Realism. I understand that the majority of characters in this roleplay will most
likely end up being from fantasy or sci-fi-based fandoms, and any characters with
inhuman powers will be allowed to retain their abilities. However, this roleplay
does take place on Earth, so please keep all earthly objects as they are.
And finally, viii. activity. Please do your best to post at least once every few days.
I will be PMing you after three days of inactivity. If you do not respond, I will
remove your character from the roleplay.
I know there are a lot of them, but if you do not follow these rules, I will
give you a warning. Further failure to comply may result in your expulsion
from this roleplay. I am normally an open-minded and friendly person, so
please don't drive me to the brink.intro - rules - a/b this world - characters&relations - additional info - extra post

Nobody is entirely sure when the whole thing started; if any records were written,
they would've long-been destroyed, anyways. All people knew was that suddenly,
natural disasters began sprouting all over the place with little-to-no warning, tornadoes
being the most common inland and tsunamis and hurricanes occurring around the sea-
based regions. Scientists were baffled and could come up with nothing to explain
this new, dangerous phenomenon, and meanwhile the disasters just kept happening,
quicker than what was considered possible. Drinkable water became scarce, and crops
were destroyed. Concern over food and water began gripping the world.
Next came the epidemic, nowadays known simply as 'Virus 147'. It originated from a small
village in Uganda and was carried by bats, apes and pigs, and the moment it spread to
humans it proved to be extremely swift, contagious, and deadly. The infected would
get high fevers and would soon become delirious, then internal hemorrhage would set in
and their organs would be shut down one by one.
No one was immune, and a vaccine could not be found. It became international within a
few short months thanks to an infected local who went on a plane, and it didn't take long
at all for humanity to begin dying in droves. Amongst the chaos of the natural disasters
ruining the remains of civilization and humans dying out like flies, the world deteriorated
until all that was left were the remains of buildings and dead bodies everywhere.
Sure, some people survived the initial outbreak of Virus 147, but they are few and desperate
and willing to kill anyone and everyone for supplies. Besides, with natural disasters happening
left and right and all those infected corpses littering the streets, it surely can't take that long
now for them to bite the bullet.intro - rules - a/b this world - characters&relations - additional info - extra post

LEGOLAS GREENLEAF
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
fandom: Lord of the Rings || feeling: bewildered, confused || tags: open
The first thing Legolas was aware of was pain; his head throbbed mercilessly as he groaned and shifted, instinctively trying to push himself up and failing miserably. He attempted to crack open his eyes, but the world was spinning so badly he could scarcely see more than a blur of dull monochrome colours whirling around him. He gritted his teeth as he lowered himself back onto the ground, feeling small sharp stones digging into his cheek as he wracked his brains trying to figure out how he had landed in such a predicament.
He was frustrated by his mind's sluggishness, but eventually his memory began returning bits and pieces of the last time he had been awake. We had left Imladris a fortnight prior, he recalled. and Eregion was only a few hours away. Yes, he now remembered Gandalf's announcement of arrival, the periannath's relieved excitement and Aragorn's approval of their speed. He had offered to scout ahead to search for a good place to set up camp, and had just passed the border into the land of Hollin when - nothing.
Legolas furrowed his brow, but it was true; he simply could not remember what had happened after that. Mayhap I was attacked, he mused as his equilibrium returned some and he managed to sit up, keeping his eyes shut, but I do not feel the presence of orcs or any of Sauron's minions besides. As a matter of fact, here suspiciousness began entering his mind, I do not believe I feel the presence of any other living creatures at all. Now that he had noticed this, he realized his elven senses weren't reacting as quickly as he would've liked. Perhaps this had been caused by his injury to the head? But such a thing was nearly unheard of; he would have to have had a cracked skull or worse to be impeded in such a way, and he was sure he wasn't that wounded. As an experiment, he cautiously probed the earth with his senses, searching for the song of Ilùvatar that could be found in all places of Middle-earth if one knew how to look for it.
Nothing answered.
To say he was utterly shocked would be an understatement. How is this possible? The only way this could happen would be if I had somehow lost the ability to find Ilùvatar's song, or if I had somehow left the realms of Arda! But even as he agonized over this, a creeping dread came over him. He couldn't find Ilùvatar's song and he was hardly injured. He couldn't sense any other living beings around, and even as he sat there he noticed the air was becoming progressively stuffier, making breathing begin to become uncomfortable. The atmosphere was tainted. Filthy. He was sure he wasn't in Mordor, so where else could he be?
Before he knew it, Legolas had opened his eyes. His relief at his now-steadied vision was instantaneously quashed by horror.
One thing was for certain; this wasn't Middle-earth.
He immediately scrambled to his feet and stared wide-eyed around him. Tall, strangely shiny structures surrounded him from all angles, their smooth surfaces marred by huge dents and cracks; shards of glass littered the ground, their sharp edges gleaming in the sickly light; he was standing in the middle of a pile of rubble - and was that a corpse he could see in that corner? He stumbled backwards, duly horrified.
"Sweet Eru," he gasped aloud, and launched into a coughing fit as he inhaled a lungful of the dirtied air. He was disoriented and bewildered, angry at his own weakness and painfully conscious of the fact that it seemed the tall, steel-like buildings were closing in on him. His claustrophobia was kicking in, and despite himself, panic was beginning to close his throat and dull his common sense. He needed to leave - he needed air!
Legolas started into a stumbling walk completely devoid of his usual gracefulness, and when he stepped over another dead body of some unfortunate being he forced himself to ignore it. After what could've been many yén or a few mere heartbeats, he reached the end of the alleyway and found himself standing in the middle of a large road that was made out of some sort of queer stone he had never seen before. The road was surrounded on both sides by those steel-like structures, leading to even more alleyways, but the air was cleaner out here and it was an open space, and for the moment that was all that mattered. He took a few deep breaths, calming his racing heart, and when he looked up he noticed something familiar lying in the middle of the road.
They were his weapons, from his long white knife to his quiver still filled with green-fletched arrows, and he carefully knelt down to receive them, running shaking hands over the familiar wood of his bow. How they had gotten all the way out here was beyond him, and he was grateful for the mere sense of their familiarity. As he slung the quiver and bow over his back, however, and held his knife before him, he was filled with the aching sense of loss. He had ended up in this frighteningly unfamiliar place that looked like one of the legendary mûmakil had trampled through it, leaving behind a veritable trail of destruction. He had no idea where Aragorn, Gandalf, the Ringbearer or any of the Fellowship had disappeared to, and had no idea whether or not they were safe - he would have given anything to see anyone he knew, even that dratted dwarf.
"Valar," he whispered, "Where have you taken me?"

Max groaned as he blinked his eyes. "Ow... I feel like I fell out of the sky," he complained, closing his eyes again. A whirring noise beside him tempted him to open one eye to see what it was as he saw Steel rebooting beside his head. His 'eye' focused in and out a moment before he jumped up. "Holy tolito! I don't think we're in Kansas anymore, Max!" Steel informed in his mechanical but yet still human-like voice. "Neh... five more minutes," he muttered, closing his eyes until a turbo laser fire on his butt made him yipe, jumping to his feet. "Hot hot hot! STEEL!" he grabbed the Ultralink out of the air with a glare. "Look!" he pointed with one of his 'arms' out at the scenery.
Max let his buddy go before looking at everything around him before coughing. "Oh, ack... this place is acrid... oh did someone forget to take out the garbage for four months?" he coughed. "Well, radiation levels are a bit high here... and there seems to be a lingering toxin in the air. And... I think what you smell are those," Steel informed, pointing at the scattered corpses, nearly making Max throw up. "Geez! Don't desecrate the dead more than they already are!" he complained, an exclamation point appearing for a moment on his 'screen' before it went back to his 'eye'. "Sorry... I just... ugh... Go Turbo!" he called out, Steel saluting. "You got it, Max!" he told his partner as he stiffened himself into an M shape and linked up with Max, the two changing into their masked base mode. Steel then unlinked himself for the moment as they made their way out of the alley.
"Wow... you'd think Makino had trashed this place... where are we anyway, Steel?" Max asked, looking at his friend. "If my calculations are correct.... I'm picking up from waves in the air that we're in the year 3035 in the city of New York City... or... what's left of it," he informed. "Whoa! Seriously!? We're on future Earth!?" he asked in surprise as they came out onto a street, looking around. "As hard as it is to believe Max... I think so," the Ultralink murmured as they looked around at the devastation. "What the heck... happened here?" Max murmured. "Dunno... if I could find a newspaper like piece of their technology, I may be able to pull up some information though it'll take me a bit to learn the new system," he informed. "Well... we better get started looking for that huh? GO TURBO: FLIGHT!" Max called out as Steel relinked with him yet again and switched him to flight mode, this time Steel staying linked as they jetted into the air up a ways. Max, I can sense other lifeforms appearing all over the city but... most of them don't even feel human, Steel informed his partner. "I'd rather not find out for right now..." he murmured before taking a slow flight over the area, placing a hand to his mask at the mouth at all of the death he could see from up above. This wasn't something he was used to, that's for sure.

Killua wrote:fourteen;
Hunter x Hunter;
on guard
Killua's day was progressing smoothly and efficiently. He and Gon had effortlessly tracked down a monstrous boar with a sizable bounty on its grotesque snout - undeservedly high in Killua's humble opinion, not that he would voice it when he collected the bulging sack of gold he'd been promised - and swiftly dispatched it. Naturally, Gon's bottomless appetite derailed the trip home and they ended up indulging in lunch at a popular coffee shop in Yorknew City (or, in Killua's case, a small child's body weight in rich chocolates). The sun's gleaming rays were blissfully warm in the chilly afternoon, and the scents of jasmine and myrrh drifted around the streets as they perused the market.
It was sensory paradise, and with his precious friend no less. A fleeting glimpse of Gon's infectious smile was the last sight Killua had before the ground beneath him was rent asunder, Gon's frantic cries reaching him as if miles off as he hurtled into the abyss.~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-|~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-
Pulsating waves of pain wracked his body, abruptly wrenching him from oblivion. Killua's eyes fluttered open, his vision blurry. As his eyesight gradually focused, he was greeted with an ashen, blood-streaked arm only inches away. He wrinkled his nose at the fetid smell of death hung like a cloud of flies over the motionless body next to him, then clambered out of the sandbox and sat down heavily to assess the situation.
Bewildered and unnerved, he scanned the street and found himself wishing he hadn't woken up. In a bizarre twist of fate, he had been...teleported...to a playground; except it looked like Hisoka had visited in a bloodthirsty mood and razed it to the ground. It was a macabre scene: corpses littered the ground, all of them exhibiting signs of disease and some bearing the telltale signs of scavengers feasting upon them. The equipment and benches were similarly in various states of ruination, but the unifying detail of everything, the key feature that made Killua's eyes widen with unbridled fear, was the utter lack of life. Devoid of sound or movement, it looked like a snapshot of despair.
Taking stock of himself, he came to a few realizations. The first he tested by swiping his fingers along his forehead and, coming away with crimson-tinged fingers, clicked his tongue in disapproval. He was injured, but only superficially it seemed: forehead bleeding shallowly, likely bruises on a rib or two along his right side, and assorted scrapes and cuts scattered around his body. There was definite pain, but it seemed muted, and he could handle most conceivable types of pain so it wouldn't be a hindrance. The greatest irony was that his usual outfit, a deep blue turtleneck covered by a white v-neck and iron-grey shorts, and his silvery, wild hair were dirty but otherwise completely unsoiled by the bodily fluids that covered the landscape and parts of himself. His skin was pale...but it usually was. All in all, miraculously fine.
Nodding to himself, he climbed to his feet and set off at a brisk pace, determined to escape the depressing scene and discover the extent of the destruction. It was a strange city, wherever he was. He didn't spot any buildings that could rival the size of Heaven's Arena, but besides that it was eerily similar to Yorknew with the massive buildings, cramped streets, and vehicles, albeit abandoned and dilapidated. One noticeable difference was that signs and store names were in English, rather than Japanese, but Killua thankfully spoke the former fluently and without a distinct accent.
Coming to the end of the absurdly long street, he applied Zetsu, concealing his Nen, and nimbly leaped to the top of a two-story building; his feet silently cushioned his landing, then he crept over to the edge of the building overlooking an even lengthier road. Immediately, he spied a figure that looked straight out of a woodland fairy tale - human in figure, but with a bow and arrows and graceful features. Killua's silent musing was interrupted by the sound of a jet that echoed across the buildings. "Are wa nan desu ka? (What's that?)" he murmured under his breath, as if speaking to the humanoid below him. Killua's arms were tensed and bulging, every muscle on his lean, sinewy body alert and ready to fire. There was no immediate, apparent danger, but he would maintain his guard.
