alright everyone, after a careful review of each entry and after much thought and deliberation, I've chosen the winners! but before that, I'd just like to say that everyone submitted amazing works, and I love every single one of them; please don't let the placings discourage you because you all were wonderful and should be proud of your art regardless uvu

now for the winners! to spice things up, I'll start from the honorable mentions and work my way up
►------HONORABLE MENTIONS
♦ #4 - Autumn Rain 1

your art of Swashbuckla was beautifully executed! his markings and anatomy were spot on, and his fierce expression and the sword in his mouth were a wonderful touch. what really won me over was the fluidity and animation of his pose, as though he were jumping into a fight; it really adds depth to the image and paints him as a gung-ho and confident pirate dog! 'v'

your art of Alice, Rosco, and Vesper was very cute! I loved their varied expressions and playful poses! Alice looks so carefree romping away with little marshmallows trailing after her. you captured Rosco's fluffiness perfectly, and his toothy grin is too adorable. Vesper looks lovely with her leaping pose and poofy tail. your pixels were lovely as well! the one with Alice floating on a marshmallow was super cute, and the interaction between Punk and Swashbuckla made me chuckle; Punk's cocky grin and Swashbuckla's annoyed expression were just too much 'w'

I really loved all of your designs! they were simple, cute, and pleasant which was just what I was looking for 'u' your first design was lovely with the soft pinks and white, and I especially loved the addition of flowers and a big, flowy bow. the summer/winter coats were a nice touch as well. your second design made my mouth water - I just loved the simple cake theme with the whipped cream tail and giant cherry on top! the collar and ribbon balanced the redness of the cherry very well. I really liked how you took aspects from the The Great Wave of Kanagawa painting and translated them into a design; the wave-like fur and tail were very nice 'v'

your headshot of Von was just beautiful! I loved the attention to detail in the fur, markings, and even down to each eyelash. Their fur looks so silky and soft, and I love how you drew their ears. you captured Von's slightly anxious expression perfectly, and the shading overall was simple yet fitting; I especially liked how you created a light spattering effect 'w' the soft pink background with brown lines creating a pseudo-frame around the image fits well, and the sparkles scattered around Von were a nice touch uvu

►------THIRD PLACE
♦ Illuminatus - 1/1

your artwork of Celina relaxing on the beach was just stunning! I loved how you posed her laying down with her paws slightly folded inward, and her smiling face and large, expressive eyes were too cute 'v' her little hermit crab buddy looks so adorable sitting on her back as well. I just really love your style overall uwu the shading and lighting were well executed, especially the shimmer on the waves, and the colors of the sunset fit very well with Celina's design. the glare from the sun was a nice touch and shows great attention to detail. the transparent version is lovely as well, and I love the richness of color and the shading, particularly 'w'

your piece of Von was so serene and lovely; I loved it the moment I saw it~ I loved your attention to detail in the fur and face, particularly their eyes and nose. their cheek and chest fur looks so soft and airy, as if blown by a slight breeze. I love Von's peaceful expression and the little sparkles in their eyes; I'd like to think that they've finally found some peace from their anxieties and have found a moment to relax a bit uvu the flower crown was drawn perfectly, and the background gives off a kind of fairy/dream-like mood. the lighting and trails of shimmering light swirling around Von makes the whole piece come together.

♦ winter & fireflii - 1 2 3

I really don't know what to say - all of your pieces were just amazing ♥
winter, your design was beautiful, and it blew me away. it incorporated so many of the traits that I love: the harmony you created with the creams and browns, the way you used both stripes and spots in natural, non-tacky way, and the warm, rich amber color of the eyes coupled with the yellow and red speckles throughout. while I'm normally not a fan of green/blue, but you made it work so well in the overall context of the design as a whole with the two earrings and the jeweled scarf. I really adore how fluffy the neck fur is (I just want to grab a handful of it) and I'm a sucker for bushy, wispy tails 'w' the lil' toothy grin was a nice touch as well.
and fireflii, your art of Saki was too adorable~ I loved the thick strokes in the lineart, and the shading was very well done; I felt like it gave the art a slight geometric feel while the smooth curves of the lines still maintained an organic feeling to create a subtle contrast. you captured Saki's design perfectly and made her so cute with her little round nose and brown eyes uwu your cat design was very pretty as I'm also a sucker for space themes. I love how you made the splotches blend in and fade, and the speckles for the stars were very nice. their little frowny expression and wide, glazed eyes made me smile, and I love how fluffy they are and their small ears 'v'

anddd that wraps it up, folks! I will be sending out the prizes for the main winners as well as the entry prizes for everyone else tomorrow since it's almost midnight where I live, so you can look forward to that. please note, it may take me a while to get to everyone since I have a lot of trades to send uvu
