I create too many side plots! Dx)

~Ashfeather~
~Ashfeather~
I contemplated Bloodstar's words, my half-crazed state allowing me to ignore the offense that was meant. (This is how I get when I'm really tired. xD) Maybe the advantage did exist in only my mind. I was too tired and angry to make much sense of the feelings I was getting. Interrupting my thoughts came the annoyingly familiar voice of Pebblestar. "What has happened here?! Ashfeather! Did you attack Bloodstar? Or did he attack you? I want answers from both of you now! Ashfeather, are you hurt?" My ears slowly flattened, but other than that small motion, I refused to recognize my leader's presence. I had absolutely no intention of answering her mouse-brained questions. When would she learn to mind her own business?
I found that my thoughts had been purged by the new blaze of anger, allowing me to think more clearly despite my fatigue. Nightfire confronted Pebblestar with angry words of her own. "Pebblestar, I know you're older than me, but you sure don't act like it sometimes." Could she read my mind? "Just leave them alone. Ashfeather is clever enough to settle this on her own." It was nice to think that my friend found me clever, but if I was truly clever, I wouldn't have gotten myself into this mess in the first place. Stupid...
"I may be older, but I'm not stupid either. Bloodstar has no quarrel with my clan and I do not want to see one. I do not know what provoked this fight, and now that it is over I do not need to know, just make sure our patrols don't spot FireClan on our border. Tell Ashfeather to come home when she's ready." All the inaccuracies and stupidity of Pebblestar's words caused me to clench my teeth. At least her voice had faded, distance causing her mews to quiet. She was gone.
"What kind of so-called leader merely allows their warrior to return home whenever their twisted, ignorant heart desires?" I wanted to leap at Bloodstar's throat, claws ready to silence his malicious meowing forever. Just let Pebblestar leave! But it was too late to stop him blabbing. I resigned myself to contradicting the white-pelted leader in silence. "What rights have you to command my actions, or anyone's for that matter?" Um, she's a leader? "You don't! You are no more fit to be a clan leader than the youngest kit in PowerClans!" Look who's talking, powerless. "At least then, a kit would display at least a shred of knowledge and far more responsibility than you will in nine lifetimes!" Now that may have been true, at least to some degree. Bloodstar was obviously wishing he could burn Pebblestar to ashes. Although I wasn't very fond of my leader at the moment, I would have protected her. Wind would have easily blown the flames back at him. Did he honestly not think of that?
Of course, Pebblestar just had to respond to the FireClan leader's cowardly challenge. "Ha! Bloodstar, you have failed my little test!" Little test? What was she talking about? "Am I not fit to be a leader am I?" I believe you said 'am I' twice. That's redundant, you know. "Why don't you back away from my warrior and I can show you what kind of leader I am!" My warrior? I am not anybody's warrior! "You see, Bloodstar, I knew you would burst with anger when those words left my mouth!" So why did you say them? "Go home, Bloodstar! There is no more quarrel here! Just go home! This is over NOW!" Actually, you're making it worse. "Or I will show you what this unfit to be leader can do!" Not much against Bloodstar. I wanted to shout at Pebblestar to shut up, but that wouldn't have been helpful in any way. I vaguely noticed that Bloodstar had taken a step forward, his wickedly sharp claws unsheathed. What was he planning? I tensed, ready to intercept him in the case that the need arose. Against him, I was the one with the upper hand. Or at least I hoped so.
What now? I glanced at Nightfire to see if she had anything to say. Her bright orange eyes met mine, and she nodded. She wouldn't say anything yet, but she had her eye on Pebblestar. I shot a glance at Bloodstar and then looked back at her, conveying that I had my eye on her leader. I didn't dare say another word.

~Melodykit~
Ravenkit. So that was his name. It suited him very well. "And I think we should get you back to your mother." Before I could protest, the black tom-kit lifted me onto his back and carried me back to my littermates. I slid gently onto the soft, crumpled grass on the den floor and propped myself up with my two front paws. "I think she wanted a little adventure," he said to my mother. Now he was just being degrading. I had gone to see him on purpose. He tried to smile at me, but I turned away, looking at the ground behind me. Petalsong laughed quietly, her weak condition not allowing her to laugh any louder. "Thank you, Ravenkit," she meowed, glancing down at me with loving eyes. I longed to meet those eyes, but I was supposed to be mad. I didn't look up.
~Oakkit/Willowkit~
Oakkit rolled over on his back in response to his sister's prodding. Had she opened her eyes? No doubt playful Fawnkit expected him to follow her lead. The shy tom carefully blinked open one eye, then the other. What had to be Fawnkit sat beside him, peering down at him. She squealed in delight when their eyes finally met. Oakkit smiled.
Willowkit's eyes opened. She didn't really have control over the matter, the lids just sort of fell. As soon as the little kit could partially see in the dark, she wasn't sure she wanted her eyes to be open. It was so much nicer all snuggled up next to mother, and now she would probably be expected to do things. Maybe she would even have to move around! Shocking though it was, Willowkit wondered what it would be like to move around as she often heard Flowerface do. Should she try it?

~Rainstar~
Rainstar smiled gently. Poor Silvertail was so stressed about the idea of being 'chosen'. "Calm down, Silvertail. I'm sure there's nothing to worry about," she soothed. "Trust StarClan. They're doing their best to help us." The blue-furred leader had realized long ago that the starry warriors were not infallible, but she understood and accepted that fact. No cat was perfect, not even dead ones that can see the future.
