wolves - your opinon?

I love all animals, wolves are no exception. Although they do get a lot of attention, which isn't fair to the animals that actually are endangered.

You can't be wrong or right about this....

To me wolves are the killers you see in the news, they are dying out and they are helping other animals die out also. To me wolves are ruthless, heartless and devilish creatures I always see them in bad dreams. Personally I wouldn't care if something bad happened to wolves unless it affected other animals.

Remember this is my opinion you don't need to agree. Everyone is different.

If all wolves died out it would definitely affect other animals. Basically any natural species going extinct has an affect on the ecosystem.

Wolves keep on appearing so I don't think it will happen for at least 50-20 years in the future till wolves can be completely gone. But how are wolves more important than the other endangered animals still.

Of course wolves shouldn't get way more attention than critically endangered species, but all animals are important.

It may not seem like it to us, but life is kill or be killed. Eat any meat before? Something was killed to put that meat in your belly.
Wolves need to kill to put meat in their bellies. We all do. Humans, even good ones that wouldn't kill an animal if they were told to, still need things dead to be alive. It's the way life works.
Any creature that dies out will effect everything. Other animals... even plants and us humans.
The way the ecosystem works is that wolves need to kill for the sake of everything else.
Yellowstone, for example. Wolves were completely killed off from that region before. Grazing animals grew too many in numbers- they ate everything. Life got harder. Grazing animals killed themselves, and other animals in this way.
When wolves came again, the ecosystem was restored. More baby grazing animals survived. Even the rivers were restored to their natural state- the trees too.
But this is true for all animals, even mosquitoes. I once watched a documentary about endangered animals. I cried for every animal that came on. They all need to be protected, the more critical, the more protection.
No animal breed is truly a heartless creature. We just label them heartless under our own laws, but that isn't what they live under. Individuals can be heartless under their species' laws. But no species can be evil, or heartless, or devilish.

I completely agree with zero. Animals are not inherently evil. They rely on instinct and nature to survive and thrive. Whether they have to kill to eat, or eat something that's already dead, or eat something that never was truly alive. We as humans have a huge impact on nature and the ecosystem, especially when we encroach on wild animals territory. I find it appalling that ranchers get mad when predators take a calf or cow from the herd, when they have more than a thousand head. They would rather kill out what they see is the problem, the predator, what they don't see is that the predators make it possible for their cattle and sheep to survive. If there were no predators there would be an over abundance of deer and elk. They would eat all the grass and greenery and leave nothing for the cattle to graze. And where would that leave ranchers? Screwed I say.

And it's not that wolves get more attention than other endangered or critically endangered species. All of them deserve to receive attention. Some have more efforts to save them than others. And yes, it might be biased, but people tend to look towards the 'cute' species first, because they are cute and trigger certain emotions in the human psyche. Look at world wildlife fund. If they showed commercials for saving vultures, do you think anyone would donate? No. They show commercials with seals and polar bears, because they are the (I can't remember the word but it's because they are cute) species.

I'm not bothered by the love for the actual creature, but it's the rabid fan base, "kill wulfs and u die!!!111!" they make me not want to like them

I do think wolves are cool, but i dislike the people who say "zOMG WOOFS ARE ENDANGURRED THEY SOOO MAJESTIC DEY MAH SPIRIT ANIMAL BAAAWWWW"
there are plenty of other animals that are endangered, like polar bears, hawaiian monk seals, the iberian lynx, the riverine rabbit, the bolivian chinchilla rat, and the california condor just to name a few.

but i still like wolves too

They are not evil, they are wild animals and out of nature would hurt/kill a human no questions asked.
It's just part of them being wolves. They are pretty great but there are tons of animals that deserve attention.
