Ooooo, nice. I've always wanted one of those! I actually really need some LOTR paraphernalia. I don't have anything and I went to the Hobbit with my friends recently and they were decked out in Middle Earth gear and i was like hmmm i need something cool. I've seen some nice shirts but was looking for something kind of unique. Does anyone have any suggestions of like cool and unusual lotr clothing or jewelry?

I have a tee shirt that is way to big for me, and my necklace.. I wore that to the movie.

Ughh. I have NO lotr merch. That stuff is expencive and i dont have an allowence or a job. I acctually saw a beautiful elven war sword at texas renaissance festival, but it was 3xs over my budget.

Also, i was drawing a collage of my personal fandoms, and when i went looking for a lotr symbol, pretty much all i found was this:

Problem is my dad doesnt think this is a legit official symbol that represents lotr. I mean, its obviously suppose to look like an L, O, T and an R, but its not actualy elven text or anything i dont think. I think it was just fan made. i dont know, what do you guys think?

That symbol is not fan-made; it's the way J. R.R. Tolkien wrote his own initials. The donwards line is both a J and a T, and there are two R's on the sides of the symbol. So while it's not a symbol of LotR, per se, a lot of LotR fans would recognise it as Tolkien's symbol.

I love Tolkien's initials, while it is not exactly LOTR it would still work because he is mostly know for the hobbit and lotr

For Christmas I got a smaug poster and a golden smaug pop figure, last year I got Bilbo's sword, so I made a memorial for all the dragons, men, dwarves, elves, hobbits, and even spiders. I got my Halloween spiders out and used so fake spider web and stuck Bilbo's sword in it!

I wish I had more authentic collectables though. like my mom has, she has the hobbit book ends! But every so often we get a magizine with a lot of nerdy hobbit and lord of the rings stuff but it's way to expensive

Sweet! The only merchandise i have of the lotr or the hobbit is a poster. But, it's not like I'm always scavenging the internet for anything worth my money ;)

Me too, I have the film posters and I have a book full of fanart I have made with quotes from the books and pics from the film and other stuff, do basically I have made myself a Lotr/ hobbit scrapbook, quite fun, I recommend it

the only thing i have thats official is replica of the one ring made by the exact company that made the armor weapons and jewelry for trilogy and the hobbit.
