justin's parents weren't exactly the most loving people in the world. they were almost never there for any of their four children in life. whenever they were there, they weren't very supportive. nothing has really gone right in justin's life until he found out about the other shifters. he immediately went to live with the ones like him. he was glad that the plumi share some territory with another clan, the canem. it would get lonely and boring with only the three other bird shifters. he also enjoys his day job. he's a writer, and loves to do anything related to it. he's currently actually working on a fictional book about his crazy life so far. he calls it fictional because he doesn't want the entire world knowing he was a shifter because of all the bad publicity towards them. he just doesn't like how they all view the shifters...like they're some kind of threat on society or something.

kristine is a very adventurous person, always taking risks and always having fun in the process. she never fails to laugh at herself when doing something worthy of it. she almost never lets the hate get to her, and always finds good fortune in her life when she does. she hasn't had very much experience with death other than her dog and a miscarriaged baby brother, and those two hit her like a truck. she hasn't really been able to be fully happy since that happened, and that was about four years ago. nevertheless, she still enjoys life immensely.

while kristine was born in rio de janeiro, she moved to the united states at a very young age. she was only three years old when she came to the united states. her two older sisters and older brother were already born, as well as her younger brother. she was always picked on when she was younger because she wasn't caucasian. she never really liked white people anyways, she always thought they were too entitled to everything. she was even half white, and everyone still made fun of her because she was multiracial.
when she was eleven, she figured out how to get people to start liking her: act like them. so, she studied the people in her class and began to act like them. she soon developed a personality of her own and went with it until she graduated. needless to say, the boys started liking her a whole lot more once they figured out that the one girl everyone dated wasn't actually going to be in a lasting relationship with anyone, so why bother? then they figured out what they really wanted.
she moved to florida originally, but when she got older and started looking at colleges, she fell in love with new york university. she loved new york city and has always wanted to live there as soon as she found out it was a place. she applied there and got in, which was a little less difficult for her than it was for the other million intelligent kids applying there, because NYU is all about expanding knowledge, and being from brazil, she got in as a four-year "transfer student". she really likes it there, and doesn't want to leave. the only bad part is the snow. she doesn't exactly love that.
