The tom stalked the chaffinch. It flitted and fluttered on the ground, searing for small nuts and seeds, or some dried grasses for a nest. Crowstar, who was now about three tals lengths away, pounced and made a quick kill.

Swiftbreeze smiled, relaxing at the friendly tone he gave her. She nudged Firekit forward, and began padding forward herself. Questions buzzed through her head as she looked back at her former clanmate. "How has the clan been? With those rogues? Are there any new kits? How is Hazelpaw?" She asked, feeling guilty for having left without saying anything to her friend. "Any queens? Oh Starclan it feels like I've been gone for eternity! I really missed the clan." She said, giving him a gleefully flicking his shoulder with her tail, optics brimming with excitement. She gently urged the amber colored kitten onward, as she patiently awaited the answers to het questions.
