Finny smiled at her outburst. "That's bad, do you wish you could?" He nodded shyly, saying, "Thanks, I work hard on it." As she pointed to the purple roses, he leaned forward and took a sniff, answering, "Camamilia Kai Roses," he explained. As he studied it, he spotted one on the bottom that was older and starting to droop, but the fragrance and smell were the same. Finny plucked it from the bush and thrust it in front of the Duchess, saying, "Want one? You could do lotsa stuff with it," while blushing and looking away. He normally didn't get a ton of attention from higher-ups, except Duchess Marie.

((Yeah that seems way better. More efficiant and the like. :D))

Erin leaned forward as her horse galloped towards the castle. The gait that was once paced had quickened as the horse scenced home. Erin didn't bother to check it. Why not? She was tired out too, from the days on the road, and now they were finally back. She heard the sound of hooves clattering on the drawbridge and then on stone and pulled slightly on the reins to stop and hand the letter to the cleck waiting there. Then she trotted off towards the stables. It had been the highest rule with her father: Your horse come first, you come second.

Gilian shaded his eyes and searched the forested horizon for the black speck that was his falcon. It had been gone for awhile now, so either it was carrying back something and was delayed, or it was in trouble. His eyes flickered back and forth nervously, then he smiled as he spotted it. His smile grew even bigger as he saw that the raptor carried a rabbit, a fat one too. It dropped the morsel at his feet. He held out his arm and the falcon's talons grabbed onto the thick leather glove. After carefully trying the hood over its eyes, he bent down slowly to pick up the rabbit, then started on his way back.

(( HAHA I am I the only one who doesn't get it? xD and I'll make a small post, still trying to write 50 000... haha I'm not even close at the moment.
And you're welcome! :D ))

Duchess Marie Egnold
Marie briskly walked out of her room and out of the castle, all nice looking. Her pretty dark brown hair was, as usual, all piled up, and she was wearing a tight corset, and her dress was a faded sunflower yellow.
She brought out her pink umbrella and walked outside, at once heading to visit Finny.
She walked carefully as to not step on the precious flowers.
"Hello, Finny." smiled Duchess Marie. She noticed the young duchess, Mehela Soranly, who was only two years younger than her. "Pleasure to see you again, Mehela." she dipped her head in a polite hello.

Christina Havelock
Christina wiped her brow, lightly beaded with sweat as she wiped the kitchen floor clean. While preparing a nice beef brisket for lovely Duchess Marie, she had accidently spilled some contents on the floor, so she was cleaning it up.
Once she finished, she washed her hands and continued preparing the beef brisket. She wondered when Finny would be coming in to greet her, since he sometimes kept her company.

Mehela leaped to her feet when Duchess Marie came. But they she just greeted her, as if everything was normal. That was odd. Did she not notice that Mehela was wearing the sort of clothes that many people deemed 'unacceptable' for a person with a rank like her? And didn't she notice that Mehela had been sitting on the ground like a commoner, right on her bottom, legs stretched out in front of her and her hands propping herself up behind her.

"Yes, hello, Duchess." Mehela gave the smallest of curtsies to the Duchess, and then one to Finny. "Thank you Finny. Love your garden. Good bye." She hurried through her sentances before turning on her heel and leaving as quickly as she could while still attempting to appear graceful. She rounded the side of the stable, heading for the door. Then she saw some one reclining in a chair on the lawn. "Malakay!" She called, "Is that you?" She stopped moving and turned to walk towards him. He looked like he was hiding out a bit too, and so he wasn't likely to rat her out for hanging around the stable when she surely must have other more duchess like things to do.

((50,000... NaNoWriMo?:D I finished last week, but my novel's not done, just the word count.xD))

Malakay raised a disapproving eyebrow as Mehela approached him, shaking his head and sighing at the girl's outer appearance. "Your mother will have a fit if she catches you one of these days, Young Duchess." He scolded, casting her a scolding yet somehow conspiratorial glance without getting to his feet, one hand still attempting to massage the ache out of his injured leg. He knew the girl, as much a skeptic of royal ways as he was, wouldn't mind his disobeying the doctor's orders. "People might mistake you for a commoner, and we wouldn't want that." He "tsked" slightly and beckoned her over, turning in the chair so that he faced her and his legs dangled over the side-though he did first drag over a small lawn table to use as a footstool for his injured limb. As long as no-one saw that shouldn't be a problem. "Where did you get that flower? Have you been wandering about with the gardener boy, Mehela?" Malakay's voice was more resolved than scolding, as he had no problem with the servants of the castle. It was the dirty, unattended poor in the city he disliked. "I dare say if the Duchess wanders by we'll both be doing lines."

((Whoops, when I wrote my last post I forgot what rank he was so I just winged it. Lol. Should we say that Malakay and Mehela are friends? Friends in a way that they tease each other a bit, and both cheat the rules a bit and threaten to rat each other out? I think that would be fun.))

Mehela's face showed signs of annoyance at the way he scolded but didn't scold her. "I know she will have a fit, which is why she won't see me." She said. "But she would have a fit if she saw you, too." Mehela smirked at him. "If I was mistaken for a commoner, that wouldn't be so bad. Way less bowing and expecting me to act perfect." She pointed out. "And besides, there are no commoners in the palace or in the palace grounds. So if I were to be mistaken for anyone, it would be an errand girl or something. Which wouldn't be so bad, since I would just be ignored." She let him think about that when she came up with another remark. "What would people mistake you for? A lazy man who can't grimace and take the pain from a little injury?" She said, her smirk widening.

Finny nodded, getting up and removing the severed stem carefully. With a glance back around behind him, he saw Duchess Marie heading towards them. Cheerfully, Finny called, "Hello, Duchess!" with a smile and a swinging wave. He poured more water on the ferns that were growing next to the roses, his silvery tin watering can undamaged, mostly because he it was one of the few things he treasured.

"Little? I'd hardly call being trampled by a horse little." Malakay scoffed with false indignation, his amused smile giving him away. "Anyway, Mehela, you might do better than to wander into the streets and mix with the common folk. You'd catch something unsanitary on the best of days-go down there now and you might contract the plague, and we can't have our Young Duchess falling dead on us. Besides," He continued with a teasing smirk, "we wouldn't want you infecting the rest of us either, now would we? No, best you stay here. Go out for a ride if you'd like-but avoid the towns, that's servant's work."

(( Yeah, it's Nanowrimo :/ Never got to finish typing, I'm so slow at it xD I should've typed first than write first :( and that's good! Congrats on 50 000 ! ))

Duchess Marie Egnold
Marie didn't notice Mehela's dresswear, or how she was sitting, she was more into looking at the flowers and accompanying Finny for the moment.
She quite thought that Mehela's abrupt leave was slightly rude, but she did say some nice things to Finny, so she decided to let it go this time, although she hardly ever let things go like that. Perhaps she should be more strict.
"Hello, Finny!" said Duchess Marie Egnold. "Well, the garden is looking lovely. I especially adore the bluebells, as well as the marigolds. The fragarent they give out is simply sweet. I love all of the flowers, but those are just my favourites. All the flowers are good because they're healthy, you have been keeping them well, young Finny." smiled Marie as she looked down upon him.
