*The markings on its back (excluding the cream-colored ones) move around because they are places where paint has dripped from its tail. The cream markings are the only ones on the back and legs that remain stationary. Note that this RPW cannot bring dead things back to life. Also, the things that it paints stay on the canvas. They aren't truly alive, just animated!

Ahh, okay. I recently discovered I lost my connect with Shasta and I decided to ask Ravendarus if it's okay I put her up for readoption instead of putting her in the pound because she does have special edits and I rather judge who will own her. Raven also granted me permission to revamp her and Taco/Albino Tabby approved as well. nwn Here's some proof and some more here.

So, for her readoption, it will be quite similar to contest I won her in! I'd highly prefer you'd keep her name, but it is not required. You may change her gender, but I would really, really prefer that you kept her female. Also, you will gave to tell me if her paint is a curse or a gift. To Shasta, the paint is a curse. She fears the paint, she fears the paint will mock her, turn into something downright evil.
Every drawing she creates, life is born into it. But what if that life turned on her, the life she creates attacking her when
shes not looking... of course, this is unlikely but this holds as one of Shasta's biggest fears.
And if the paint creates a life that does not attack her, then would that life turn on everyone else? Shasta knows the life she creates wont attack her however, how could it? it was just an animation...sticking to the surface she painted on. But you never know do you?

Summarized History//

Shasta grew up with her grandmother in the countryside. She never really knew her mother, as she had vanished soon after she was born. Shasta tried to hide her paint power through her childhood. At times she would get compliments from others about the pretty coloring, but she never told them it was more than meets the eye. She found out her paint had a special ability at a very young age when she first painted with her tail. The lifeless drawing came to life, a butterfly. It wasn't alive but at the time, Shasta became scared of the drawing she drew on the ground, following her like a shadow. She consulted her grandmother about it and was told never to show her paint to anyone, in fear she would be accused of witchcraft. Shasta then lived her life as any normal rpw, helping out her grandmother any way she could. In the outside world she didn't have many friends however, due to her overly shyness.
In her teens Shasta lost her grandmother and set out to live on her own. Everywhere she went, most would compliment her paint, but others would give her strange looks. Shasta made her way and eventually settled in a touristy town next to an ocean. Living on the streets, but happy to be living. Eventually Shasta decided to try to put her paint to good use, making a street performer of herself. She used her paint to bring to life drawings for a passing audience, tourists and people in that small town reveled in her special ability. Eventually however things went terribly wrong.. One of the villagers accused of one of her creatures attacking them and the town went into an uproar. Even as she explained that her paint wasn't bring actual beings to life, nobody listened to her, and eventually accused her of being a witch...Shasta was then shunned by the once friendly town, the people turning on her and eventually. She was forced to leave. Shasta wandered into the woods and never found herself in civilization again...
Shasta now lives alongside nature with little contact to others, except a few who help her with her current occupation. She never uses her paint for anything and hardly speaks with any outside rpws, except a select few she has met along the way.

Occupation//

Shasta creates medicine from natural substances and sells them to a nearby village. Living in nature she has learned most natural and safe remedies for a healthy life. She uses anonymous rpws that are her friends to take the medicines into town in the fact that Shasta doesn't want to be known by society.

Relationships//

Vene - Shasta met Vene through samhain. Vene, being that she is wiccan often celebrates certain holidays in the woods. It was then she had wandered into Shasta's home and they happened to meet. Vene helps out Shasta by visitation and informing her of events occuring in the modern world.

Sparta - Sparta roams the same woods as Shasta. The few times they met Sparta was very cold towards her, but eventually after a few conversations they grew close. As Sparta's paint is as unique as Shasta's, Sparta felt a kinship towards the girl and made her one of her few friends.

Fae - Fae is Shasta's connection to the real world job wise. Fae transports shasta's remedies into town to sell and brings back revenue. Fae and shasta met when Fae's son, Aconite, became ill. Fae went into the woods intending on finding a cure when she found shasta. Shasta did heal aconite eventually and now Fae is forever indepted to her.

"Hey! Okay... Is this working?" She glanced around the interview room, holding a microphone. She tapped the microphone but instead of the taps going through an earsplitting screech from the microphone emitted. She winced, along with everyone else in the room. "Uh oops.. Sorry!" Shasta quickly muttered. "Okay so what did you want to ask me?" She looked at the interviewers in front of her. "We have one question, does the power of your paint refer to you as a curse, or a gift?" They asked in unison. "Oh that!" she exclaimed, nodding. "I'd consider it both honestly." She admits as she takes a glance at her silky tail topped with her special paint. "It comes in useful at times, and it's really quite interesting to use, especially on items which aren't usually supposed to move." she adds. She swished her tail on a nearby wall decoration, slightly painting it. The decor seemed to jump off the wall and hop around. She quickly stepped on it to stop it from causing havoc. "But really, it can be the one thing I wish I never had sometimes." she sighs, crushing the decor with her feet. "I feel like one day all this good is gonna come back and hit me, HARD." she explained. "Sometimes i accidentally paint things as well, being clumsy as I am. It scares me how that happens." She looked almost sorrowful and her voice had gone from cheerful to deep and serious. "What if one day those passive objects that move due to my paint come to hurt us? What would I do then?" She whined and looked down at the floor. She looked back up at the interviewers, teary eyed. "I think that's enough for today." She mumbled and walked out of the room.

Personality//
Emotional - Shasta is very emotional, crying at the smallest situations and smiling at another.
Cheerful -Shasta's also very cheerful most of the time, never really sounding sad unless an bad event had occurred.
Clumsy - She often looses her balance and trips, or accidentally hits something. It's really not the best trait for her to have, being the one to have the special paint, but unfortunately, she is clumsy and there's no denying it!
Sweet - Once you get to know her, she's really sweet and nurturing, being there if you need someone to talk to or comforting you when you're down.
Friendly - Shasta's always on the lookout for new friends, she loves makin' em'! She's always open for a good chat and can't stand being alone.
Flexible - She's flexible mentally and physically. She does gymastics, trying hard to succeed given her clumsiness. She also can easily change the time for a meeting or go with a new schedule.

Captain Jack ♂ ~ A rpw she met during a walk in the park. Ever since that simple meeting, they've always kept in touch and have been good friends.
Taco Cheese ♂ ~ A young rpw she met during a concert. They're still pretty good friends since then, but they don't talk as much, not being able to see each other very often.
Cheryl ♀Cheryl's one of her best friends. She's always her for Shasta whenever Shasta needed someone to chat with or someone to vent to. She's always been able to understand her feelings and therefore they've really been besties for awhile.
Lola-May♀ ~A rpw at a similar age as she is. They met in her career as Lola was doing Shasta's makeup for her performance that day. They've remained good friends since then and Lola always does Shasta's makeup now.

Career//
After talking about it for a while now, you're probably wondering what her career actually is.
Shasta is a dancer, but she specializes in belly-dancing. Example
Her clumsiness sometimes gets in the way, but considering how long she's been doing it, she's really good at it.

A curse. Why would it be anything but? Creating images that move, that seem to have a mind of their own, making shapes and even doing what seems like little plays. Entertaining? Anything but. They taunt Shanta, moving around in ways she only wishes. Confused? Let me explain. At a young age, Shasta's legs ad been crippled in a car crash. She had loved her paint power at first, as it entertained her when she was laying injured. But then, one day, her paint blotches on the floor started to move around into shapes, turning into images or RPW's frollicing and playing, and Shasta couldn't stand it. She screeched at her paint, and it seemed to shatter. She was horrified by her actions, and told herself never to paint things unless needeed.
