They're complete opposites! Lately, I've been obsessed with a certain hard rock/metal band. A.k.a. Disturbed. Seriously! I haven't heard a single Disturbed song yet that I don't like. It all kind of started when I was playing a video game with a music selection that involves 'Indestructible' [it also has 'Cry for Help' by Shinedown]. But, it was the recent couple of months that I really got addicted. According to the search function, I see that some of your favorites also include Disturbed. I have two full CDs and some misc. songs from other albums. My current favorite song from them would have to be 'Fear' [You've all really got to hear that song! Best. song. ever!] My other favorite bands include Shinedown, Korn [blame me for staying till they performed at a rock festival I went to], Three Days Grace [I always mix up 'Let You Down' with 'Down with the Sickness' at first], Five Finger Death Punch, Seether, Avenged Sevenfold, and pretty much anyone else with that kind of music."
I want to hug you right now. You just listed all of my favorite bands and not to mention, there's probably more. You must be my long lost relative or something. HUG ME! IT'S HUG TIME!!!
"
I'd be glad to hug you! I have over 300 songs on my IPod and I actually make custom CDs of my favorite songs. Today, I really had some ridiculous luck on the radio. Almost every time I flicked to the radio, it played a song from my CD that I either just heard or would've been the next song. Really, you should listen to that Disturbed I mentioned [along with Violence Fetish and Sons of Plunder, two of my other favorite songs]. We make jokes about Disturbed all the time. Well, my mom is the one who really makes comments. Recently, some of us have been getting sick. And now Down with the Sickness is stuck in everyone's heads! It was all because after a couple of sneezes, someone decided to think, "Uh oh! I'm coming down with the sickness. Wait, the sickness?" Someone coughing also vaguely reminds us of David Draiman for some reason.
Also, I recently wrote a story for an adopt that mentions several Disturbed songs, inspired by one of my mom's books involving a vampire who has a 'trebly version of Down with the Sickness' as a ringtone."

Not at all... Seriously, the thread says post away, I really don't care who posts as long as it centers on something concerning hard rock or metal music. XD
Do you guys remember Three Days Grace's lead singer's departure? Apparently reasons for leaving also include the fact that he's getting married... again, even though he said he was leaving due to health reasons. CONSPIRACY THEORY!!! It's building in my mind as we speak!
Sorry to get so worked up over it, but I just have a strange obsession with conspiracy theory, it entertains me to the point of being an unhealthy obsession... But who cares, not me, 'cause I have a million other conspiracy theories about a million other different rock bands!

That's true, it's sounds slightly fishy. But it's none of our business I guess; unless you're a news reporter, then you have the license to make it your business. lol

Aww, but conspiracy theory! ={
Record companies need to put on their contracts; if you sign a 500,000 dollar contract, you sign away your right to privacy!
Let's face it, people in the music business are never left alone, and then you've got people like me who sit up for hours on the computer, researching the band's history, coming up with pious conspiracy theories based on past events, which when you really think about it could be worth thousands of dollars if they're correct, which is actually highly unlikely, considering it's really nothing more than suspicious speculation... In other news, I tend to thoroughly read up on the bands that peak my interest, mostly out of mindless curiosity, but in some ways, makes listening to their music a bit more interesting for me. One can never be too obsessive when it comes to the entertainment industry, especially when concerning one's own specific taste in genre.

Oh man. Stratocasters are soooo much fun to mess around with. I've been tweaking the volume and distortion for at least an hour and a half or so after I restrung it, and I found out how to make weird noises with it.
I could be the next Tom Morello... jk
I showed my mum some stuff, and she had a go but she grew her nails out too long to play it properly (not like those world record people, it's controlled). I played All For Nothing for her xD Distortion makes it sound so much better than on my acoustic guitar.

I've never heard of them unfortunately. But welcome anyway! Glad to have more new people on the thread!

...awesome...
I couldn't help noticing your signature features Rebellion as one of your favorite songs, and I couldn't help but mention that that particular Linkin Park song has it struck quite a fondness in myself with System of a Down being an attribute to the song. I love Linkin Park, and System of a Down, and I will admit to being skeptical about the feature, considering their less than mutual qualities, but then I heard the song, and I will admit while their collaborative quality is to some extent contradictory, it however is, in all respect, a recipe for genius!

●• I have a stratocaster too, I got it for Christmas last year.
Probably the most expensive gift I've ever gotten, and the most expensive gift I'll ever get cx
I think it's a really beautiful guitar, and I love how simple stratocasters are. Makes it even more fun to play around with sounds and effects. However, mine is unfortunately a little hard to play, but we're gonna go get it "tuned" so it's easier to press down the strings and stuff. I'm not much of a shredder, but I play a lot of melodic stuff with bends and things like that, but my strat is basically impossible to bend the strings on compared to my Led Paul guitar. It'll be good to get it fixed.
