Hi! I'm just starting to write poetry again, and I was wondering if anyone could provide an opinion on which of these two are your favourite, or maybe even a critique. c: They're pretty similar, but I'm actively looking to improve at the moment so any help is greatly appreciated!
hey! sorry, but i'm not really active on this site anymore. you can find me on my blog or tumblr instead if you like.

hi guys!
i apologize, i haven't been on a lot, recently.

but i have a question!

Does listening to a certain song change your style of writing? For example, do you go from writing a fantasy themed story, to a mystery one?

It definitely does! More for me is the mood of the writing. If I am listening to a sad song, my writing takes a darker tone/mood to it. More upbeat songs cause me to write a happier story.

I am writing a YA novel called My Year With Mr. Tesla. It is a story about Nikola Tesla, told through the perspective of a teenage girl named Estelle. The book serves to show the multiple sides of Nikola Tesla, not just the brilliant mind he is known for. Both foreigners and feeling cast out, Estelle and Nikola become close friends despite their age difference. Their lives are full of tragedies, and they find solace in one another, until a catastrophe strikes that could drive them apart forever. The book is also about Estelle realizing she is asexual, and Nikola Tesla, who was asexual himself, helping her to understand it.

Here is the first chapter

Yes, this can happen to me; what usually happens (since I listen to varied music all my waking hours) is I get a pleasant mix of all sorts of styles; with the overarching these being one concept.

If that makes sense.

My future is about it be judged by this paper I write (8 good strong paragraphs on events and people leading up to the civil war) the paper will follow me all though highschool (at least I'm using MAL format for sourcing while the rest of the class is sourcing by just listing the websites) I have to make it seem as if I'm an intellagant writer so I can get into good classes and have a good record of my writing skills. We just got the assignment today and it's due Thursday. I have a feeling I won't finish...

Just tell yourself- you will finish! I would find really trustworthy websites (NOT wikipedia, no matter how amazing you think the info is) I have a project due on Tuesday, but i have to finish in a few days so I can check it off and all that. (silent film about a book, it's gonna be hilarious XD)
anyway.. enough of my distractions. I would just use nice words, and good transitions. There are many websites out there with transitions listed, along with "Use these ___ instead of ___" sites!

ahahahhahha it'll be great having 2 girls play guys in my movie.
