I nod, assuming that she would normally stay with the other air nomads. "My father and I use to live in Gaoling. I had a few good friends there," I add with a smile, remembering the three friends I would hang out with when I was younger. I looked back up to Aura, hearing her last statement. "Well if you ask me, I think we've both made a friend today," I say with a smile, Ekta letting out a friendly growl, as if agreeing with me. The moose lion stood up and returned to my side, nudging my shoulder again. I rubbed my hand under her chin and she let out a cat-like purr.

"Well, we can work on our firebending together..." I said. "I mean, maybe if you use it more it might not be so out of control. I still can't attack people, and that might be a problem if we run into... Well, I don't know who we'll meet in Republic City." I tried to stay away from the woods, because if any animals came out they would generally stick to the edge of the trees. "Here, try a simple fireball," I said, creating a medium sized one for an example.

I nodded " i guess you could consider the others to be friends, but most of them are little kids so i mostly end up baby sitting. and then there are the elders who make better meditation teachers than conversation keepers." i giggled softly " well, i am happy to consider you and Ekta as friends." i told them, smiling.

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, trying to concentrate on turning fire into a ball. i felt the heat in my hands and opened my eyes. this was a simple exercise that my father had taught me.....except he taught me without the control. i tried to keep my concentration on it, keep it in control. " i-i'm doing it." but my concentration wavered and the control was lost, the fire shooting to a tree. i let out a screech and fell back. i bit my lip and moved my hair back " uh....well i was. but it's still out of control."

"You've almost got it," I encouraged. "Try again, but this time, try not to make it so small. If it's bigger, it does take a little more control, but it's easier because it's more spread out and you can mostly concentrate on the base."

I nodded and took another deep breathe, calming myself and concentrating. i felt the heat in my hands and focused on it. i opened my eyes again and focused on keeping control before i let the control waver a bit, allowing it to grow in size. i tried to maintain the focu on the center like she had instructed. the ball began to waver and grow further before it split into two, one hitting a tree, the other hitting a statue. " i am seriously going to hurt someone in the city."i muttered.

I nodded lightly, having run into somewhat similar situations. "I agree. It can be hard finding good friends when you're constantly traveling." I let out a small laugh, thinking of my traveling the past two years. "hey, what do say we stick together while we're in Republic City?" I suggest jokingly, not really caring whether she agreed to the idea or not.

I nodded " sure that sounds alright." I said. I wasnt good at telling a joke from truth. " i'm sure they havent noticed i'm gone by now.they were too lost in their own duties last i left them. So i should be alright. "

"Goodness, you worried me. Why did it take so long?" I asked, concerned for Kaito. I thought he was snatched up or something!

I nodded, continuing to walk forward slowly. "Yeah, good meals are hard to come by when you're on the streets." I agreed, smelling something good near by. I sensed a food stand, but I can't read what's on the board, since I only really get outlines, not colors and writing. "Hey, do you know what that is?" I asked, stopping momentarily to let Avani catch up to me.

He laughed a little sheepishly, coming to a stop in front of them along with the giant lizard. "Sorry, I wasn't sure how you take care of these things, so I had to ask the sales guy a lot of questions."

He rolled his eyes, folding his arms across his chest. "As long as you got the lizard," he said a little irritably, receiving a nod in return.
