Giggling a bit, she walked along beside him, promising, "Don't worry, I won't tell a soul! On the queen's honor!" Then allowing Ciel to seat her, she waited for him to sit as well before turning slightly to face him better, smiling as he spoke. Then thinking a moment, she replied, "Oh, I've been just fine. Things have been a bit dull as of late, but otherwise just marvelous. The weather has been rather nice, so Paula and I have been going for lots of walks, and the chef is teaching me to cook so that I can make myself some food whenever he isn't around. Mother thought it was a splendid idea, so she even agreed to it. Oh, and Edward just visited us last week when in town on business, so it was quite lovely to get to see him again." She shook her head a bit, smiling, then asked, "And you, Ciel? How have you been in recent?"

She glanced warily at the tall butler, nodding her head a bit and forcing herself to smile. Something about home as very intimidating. Charming, but intimidating never the less. "Yes, hello. How have you been, Mr. Michaelis?"

Ciel nodded as he listened, the goings on of her life always very calming to him. Ciel's seen and been through a lot, so Lizzy is always a sight for his sore eyes, the things she does in her life the highlight of his week, or month, depending on when he can see her. She can be very overbearing at times, but he doesn't mind. He wouldn't have it any other way. When asked about how he is, Ciel watched her eyes and replied, "Well, I have mostly been at home, filling out paper work and the like. The Queen hasn't sent me orders here in a while, hence my free time to come and see you. Actually, I've been thinking about you quite often. I've decided I must see you more often. Also, the cooking idea does sound rather pleasant. Perhaps Sebastian can teach your cook some tricks? Or perhaps he can give you direct lessons?" Ciel never was the talkative type, but he could try for his Lizzy.

She smiled, clasping her hands on her lap. It made her happy that Ciel wanted to see her more often, but she tried not to show too much of this excitement, instead replying to his question. "That sounds like a great idea! Sebastian is a very excellent chef. In fact, he's rather talented at a lot of things, isn't he?" She hummed, seeming to think about if for a second before turning her gaze back to Ciel's, speaking for once in a somewhat serious fine and allowing her smile to drop not to a frown but a more curious expression. "Hey, Ciel, do you like being the queen's guard dog? I know it's a family tradition, but do you like it?"

Ciel thought a moment, the presented question almost a silly one since he knew what the answer should be but..he wanted to be honest with her...Hmm. "Honestly, it's a difficult job. But it's my duty, Lizzy you know this. It's all I've ever known and I want it that way. I want to honor my family's tradition, I need to keep up the name of the Phantomhive family. I like what I do even when it's hard. Sometimes I wish I had something else, but then I figure that's a wrong thing to think. I am destined to be the Queen's guard dog. It's my destiny, I may as well like it." Ciel watched his sweetheart as he explained himself, his lips in the smile only she could see. "And yes, Sebastian has many talents. He must; what kind of a butler would he be without them?"
